I booked our tour group of 20 here for an evening meal this week. Had never used this restaurant, but the better Amish restaurants have closed. While there were a few items that were extremely good (especially the Shrimp Bisque soup), most were very bad...and certainly not good Amish cooking. The vegetables all tasted like they were merely heated in water — absolutely no taste nor r seasoning at all. Breads were ok! Meatloaf was good IF you topped with stewed tomatoes. Mac and cheese was horrible as was bbq beef. Buttered noodles were totally dry and clumped together. Desserts were meh at best — mostly canned puddings with fake whipped cream or pies that missed the mark. For just shy of $30 per person, we will look elsewhere for our future groups.More

I'm a person that does not like smorgasbords, but this one had the best food that I have ever had in a smorgasbord. The fried chicken, cod, ribs, and everything else I tasted was great. Laura our server was very warm and very responsive. The...only downside was that they did run out of a few things, which they claimed was because it was a very busy day. I will definitely go back.More

Best of all the smorgasbord restaurants we ate in the area. Liked the idea we could either order from the menu or do the smorgasbord routine. One of us ordered from the menu and the other had the soup and salad only part of the...smorgasbord area as it was lunch time. We especially liked the atmosphere in this one as it was a bit calmer and able to sit at a booth rather than in the middle of a huge restaurant. The food seemed to be better prepared and more appealing. It is extremely clean and wonderful wait staff. The only negative thing is the long lines when checking out.More

A fun environment with an excellent selection of foods. Doesn’t take reservations but it’s never been a long wait. A good choice if doing a smorgasbord and convenient to Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse.

The wait staff is friendly and efficient. You can order buffet or from a menu. We chose the Buffet. Most food was drowning in water, making some look unappetizing. The ravioli was great. Very nice soup and salad bar.

Yummy fried chicken, best I've ever had! The food overall is very good, but limited variety for a buffet, in my opinion.

Of course we had a large group and had to wait a while but it was worth the wait. Tara made sure that our group could sit together even though we weren't in one of the banquet rooms. We were able to divide our group...into several tables but the tables were all together making our experience fantastic. Some ordered off the menu and others did the buffet. Everybody loved the food. I ordered off the menu and had the meatloaf melt. That is my new favorite and I will be having that in the next time I go, hands down. The best part of the meal was our server, Emily. She kept a positive attitude, insured that we were cared for, and was pleasant the entire time. Kudos to Emily and to Tara for the great experience.More

Mediocre food... It comes up on all of the "best of" Amish lists on Google which is why our expectations were high. As someone else mentioned, the pork + kraut is the best thing out there and the soft serve vanilla was absolutely delicious. The...rest was filling but did not live up to the expectation.More

We grabbed an early dinner before going to see Moses. We were able to be seated immediately. The waitress, Donna, was very friendly and attentive. My husband enjoyed the smorgasbord: soup, so many delicious meats and sides, as well as pie(s). I ordered the open...faced roast beef sandwich. It was so tender and delicious. 😋 And I was excited about trying the lemon sponge pie. It was a first time for me, but it won't be the last! I may have snuck a bite of his Shoo Fly pie, which was also exceptional! This is definitely a "do-over", as my husband says when he likes something!More

This place got high ratings so we went, and it was a bit disappointing. Everything was adequate, and just so. The kraut and pork was the best thing on the buffet but the ribs were stewed, salad bar just didn't have the zing expected of...an Amish business, soups were a bit pedestrian. Vegetables seemed like the came from a giant can. It just seemed like everything was made in absolutely huge batches with no eye on quality. The wait is long, and it was $50 for two adults, so, really, find a nice small cafe or small restaurant and enjoy that. I would not go back.More

Wow! This has to be the worst Amish style restaurant we have ever been to! Where to start... vegetables were definitely from a can, nothing fresh about them. The meat choices were terrible. The sausage was like no other sausage I have ever eaten. The...turkey was not nice slices, but some chopped up mush in liquid. Fried shrimp were defitely from a frozen box. Noodles were overcooked. We wanted the food to be as good as Good n Plenty. It was not. In fact, even Golden Corral has better food. And I don't care for Golden Corral. Don't waste your money here. Staff was very polite, I feel sorry for them.More

Service was good and servers friendly. Food left a lot to be desired. Honestly the best part of the meal was the salad bar. Noodles were very starchy and not flavorful. Best meat was the turkey, fried chicken was average at best. Honestly, I had...better ShooFly pie from a mix made at home. I heard people raving about the meatloaf.. you may want to try ordering off the menu rather than the Smorgasbord.More

I had such high hopes for this place so I could get some food I grew up knowing when I was a kid. The food was ok. It was very crowded, had to wait 20-30 minutes for table and lines at buffet were quite long....And I hate to say it but with that many people, the buffet gets quite messy and then in my opinion, it becomes somewhat unappetizing.More

We have eaten here several times in the past but this time the food seemed heavy and dry and not very well seasoned. We ordered off the menu since buffets have lost their appeal since COVID. If you order Turkey it comes shredded up in...a mound and is very unappealing looking. Not slices of Turkey like most places but this may be an Amish thing. Chicken croquettes were very dry and same with the bread filling. All served with an enormous amount of dry mashed potatoes. However, the dish of corn was excellent. We just felt leadened down and left a lot of the meal. I don’t like to leave negative reviews but this was not an enjoyable meal.More
