We ate at the lunch counter and also the Smorgesboard. Both were great ! The portions at the lunch counter are very generous and can easily shared. Staff were fantastic !l

The food is average, unless you're not from Amish Country... If you are visiting the area, and aren't accustomed to Amish cooking, then the food is probably great! The service is what one could expect from a "Smorgasbord type" restaurant. With all the amenities that are offered on the grounds, it's a great visit. I live in the area, so... More

We always make it to Bird in Hand Family Restaurant for at least one meal on our visits to Amish Country. This year we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Some of my favorites are the roast turkey, stewed tomatoes, and pickled beets. The breakfast buffet was very tasty. Desserts are always good. We got whoopie pies to go and... More

Unless you eat massive quantities of food this smorgasbord was ok not great. Salad and carved meat were good, desserts so so. Noisy and close tables.

Visiting Lancaster we stopped here for dinner. It was fairly crowded but our party of 4 adults and 2 children were quickly seated. Offered a choice of menu or smorgasbord we were split on this. Items ordered off the menu were nothing special but smorgasbord was a hit and we'll liked. Service was good and we were well taken care... More

For $13.75 each, our family enjoyed a very nice lunchtime smorgasbord (including beverage!) with a good variety of food in a country-style atmosphere. Service was excellent. In terms of variety and quality, it's not the Shady Maple, but then you're not paying Shady Maple prices either. And it's certainly better than Dienner's.

By far the worse experience I've had with any establishment. Would never go to this place. The staff and managers are rude and unwilling to work through reservation issue.

My family and I ate here twice during my most recent stay in the Amish Country. The reason we keep going back is that the food is delicious, everything is made of high quality ingredients, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The buffet is extensive and there is an a la carte menu which offers a great variety... More

Thank you to John and his family for organising a wonderful evening! We loved every second of the banquet, from the tractor ride to the banjo player! As the only British people there we were made to feel very welcome by both yourselves and the other guests. We would recommend this event to anyone, such a unique experience that we... More
