When you open the door, it feels like you've entered a real Japanese restaurant. The inside of Sakura is very clean, with Japanese statues and paintings everywhere. You can get a seat without waiting, and the service is surprisingly fast. I thought the sushi on the menu would be small because it's always half price, but the sushi I ordered was plentiful and very good value for money. If you don't like sushi, I recommend the hibachi special. The miso soup is rich and very delicious. You can hear the sizzling of meat while waiting for your order, and the atmosphere is very lively. There are many things you can order cheaply, so I recommend it for people who want to try Japanese food for the first time.

Been There - Ate That
We stopped by Sakura for a Sushi dinner. They were able to accommodate 11 people last minute and we were grateful about it! Sushi comes out quickly and is delicious! Seafood Udon was also a hit! The Fried items were a bit dry and overfried, but otherwise, service was fast and food delicious! Great restaurant for large groups!

I have been to this restaurant several times over the years when visiting family. The quality is consistently excellent, whether sushi, tempura, grilled selection, or noodles. Everything seems fresh and is prepared very well.. The service is also consistently friendly and efficient, no matter how busy the restaurant is with people dining in and people picking up take-out orders. This is obviously a popular spot. There are often groups dining there to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion.

The sushi here is fantastic.Got a variety of rolls with differet fish, salmon, etc, and some with mango, california rolls and a variety . The taste was fresh, beautifully presented and this was done a la carte as take out for a little surprise on my birthday when home sick. I like extra pinkcled ginger, which is given freely and is delicious!

Helpful busy friendly staff. If you expect specifics - ask don't assume and then tie up the line complaining when picking up your order. Sit down dinning is great there too!

I was hesitant to order the half price sushi from the menu. I thought they would be tiny pieces or poor quality. I was surprised! The dragon roll and rainbow roll were just great. All of our platters were delicious. The service was great too. A hidden little gem.

First off, I work in the fish business. To be careful here, I would NEVER order raw fish here. Not in million years.
Now the cooked stuff is fine. Imitation crab is what it is. A cucumber is the same. For the price it’s a good value.
However, my to go order is frequently screwed up. I was shorted 1 roll but at $2 I don’t want to drive back. I also asked for. No Wasabi, extra ginger and got too few ginger and extra wasabi. I don’t know why I waste my time ordering that way. They never seem to listen.
Definitely take my word on the raw fish. Just stay away.

My family loves their Sushi so much that we kept coming back each time. There is no other place like it. They have the best sushi ever. That is no doubt about it! I especially like the seaweed salad, California roll, shrimp tempura roll, Pink lady roll, tiger roll. Their hibachis are the best too. I recommend the fried rice special that is so filling, and you do not need to order anything with it.

I take out sushi from Sakura at least once a week. They feature a half price sushi menu which is really a good value. I'd have to say my experience with this restaurant has almost always been outstanding. The sushi is fresh, very tasty. Rolls we typically enjoy are spicy tuna, California, Philadelphia, shrimp avacado, spicy crab. From their specialty roll menu we enjoy the Black Angel, Hawaii, Ichiban and Sunflower rolls. I know there a lot of other rolls that I need to try, and, I will. Their miso soup is always tasty, and I love their hot and sour soup. We sometimes order shumai and they are also quite good.
I'm giving the restaurant a five-star as 90% of the time the sushi is excellent. I will say, on occasion, that the sushi is only just average. Rolls may not be as tasty, sometimes they fall apart, smoked salmon in the Philadelphia rolls not very smoky. Perhaps on occasion they have a different sushi chef who just makes things a little differently. Still good, just not off the hook good.
Without a doubt Sakura is a local gem of a restaurant. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and, I've also eaten in the restaurant and had a very positive experience. If you like sushi, treat yourself to some Sakura - you won't be disappointed...!

Sakura is a favorite of mine. Their sushi menu is top-notch. They also prepare your rolls and sashimi with great care and expertise. And if Sushi isn't your "thing" there is also a wide array of Japanese foods like Ramen and miso and bento boxes.

I used to love this place. Would come here every time I'm in the area, but the last two trips were a big disappointment so I'm really not surprised that this one was too. Guess I was just hoping it would get good again.
