My buddy and I needed breakfast before we headed out of town, and since we like to support local businesses rather than chains, we chose this place. Good choice. Food was really good, and our server was friendly and funny. No qualms whatsoever about recommending...this place to others.More

We stop here on the way home every time we go to Altoona. This trip had the chicken Parmesan. Chicken (2 breasts) was cooked perfectly and juicy, Large portion of spaghetti. Took about 2/3 of it home. The homemade loaf of warm bread was delicious....My husband had the daily special of ham pot pie (all you can eat). Noodles home made and he stated everything was delicious. We always get the pie. His blueberry was very good. I had the coconut pie to go and it was excellent as always. The staff is always very friendly and right on top of things. Food prices are very reasonable and the place is a;ways clean.More

Stopped on vacation by accident (Took a wrong turn and exited turn pike). Nestled between a Denny's and a steak joint was this little treasure. Walking in, it looked like it was packed with locals. Always a good sign when on the road! We were...seated quickly and this waitress came over who was funny and very good at her job. Her eyes never stopped looking at the other patrons to see what they needed. We ordered and she was off. Cozy diner atmosphere, lots of friendly chatter and yet you had enough quiet and distance to be comfortable. Lunch (burgers and fries) came quickly. Waitress checked on us often without being pushy. EXCELLENT Burgers! Perfect fries! Then we had a piece of dessert (Key Lime Pie) Homemade whip cream!!!! TART Lime taste! Great price ($20 for everything but tip) and quickly we were back on the road (Not rushed though) Def stop here if neat Bedford PAMore

Food was good and priced well. Service was very good. Decent salad bar. Good place for a decent meal most any time of day; having breakfast available all day is a nice touch.

Typical diner. Large portions. Prices good. Service was good for us. It is not real big inside but things keep moving. Locals eat there too so that is always a good sign. Kid friendly. No frills but you won’t leave hungry.

Not knowing any better, we visited for breakfast. On the positive side: - My wife got the $2.22 breakfast special (2 strips bacon, 2 eggs over easy, 2 hotcakes). Overall, it wasn't bad, and a good value. - Our server was friendly and attentive. I...felt so badly for her (having to work at this terrible restaurant) I even tipped her well. Now, the reason for the poor rating: - The coffee was wretched. It tasted like cleaning fluid. My wife took one sip and said "no way." I was thirsty and needed caffeine badly so I drank about 2/3 of my cup. Man, was I sorry. Less than an hour later I was physically sick and couldn't stray too far from a toilet all morning. I'm not sure what they put in there, but it wasn't good. - I try to eat keto so I wanted to order an omelette. I asked for our server's opinion. She said people favored the spinach and feta omelette, so I ordered that. When it came, I was astonished. For $8 you'd think you'd get a 3-egg omelette. This was maybe one large egg, or two smalls. And after I tasted it, I was glad it was small. It was overcooked, dry and flavorless. It had barely any spinach and I couldn't detect any feta. I'm not sure how you could slaughter an omelette that badly, but the cook managed somehow. - It came with a side of homestyle potatoes and toast. I am carb-averse, but was hungry enough to eat the potatoes, and these were decent.More

The meals offered here are unique to the area like stickies and chipped beef on toast. The staff were very nice. I only offered a 3 star because of the cleanliness and outdated decor

An unassuming small town diner that serves the usual diner fare. Several people had recommended getting breakfast there so I had some pancakes and bacon. Both items were pretty good. My friend said his burger was okay. Prices were fair. The glass for their small...OJ was adorably tiny. Waitress was polite.More

Decided to try the Diner after seeing great reviews of the home fries. Got a good breakfast here, the waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and the prices were inexpensive. But we thought the home fries, which we added onions as always, were plain. They...came without being salted, which is good, so we added our own, but they still just tasted plain. But we are used to PA Dutch home fries, which can’t be beat. Overall, the meal was good and my sausage patty was extra large and very good. To compare, we went to Denny’s next door for breakfast the day before, which was a bit more expensive, meal tasted better, but waitress was not personable at all.More
