We made a reservation in advance because due to coronavirus they space the tables apart to prevent interaction between customers so there are fewer tables. The server was masked. We ate outside which was very nice. The service was pretty slow as there was one waitress for five tables outside.
The restaurant is handicap accessible but to eat on the outdoor patio there was one step to navigate.
The menu is mostly upscale although they do have burgers and other options. The crabcake was very good and others enjoyed the vegetarian burger and fish and chips and the steak. Prices are relatively high but it is a more upscale dining experience than most places we went to in this area.

Ona comes across as a bit pretentious, but don't be put off by dim lighting and cloth napkins, you're in Yachats. We appreciated the ambiance and the number of choices we had available to us. If you are discerning about what you might enjoy, and are on a budget, you can afford a full dinner here. We started with an excellent calamari appetizer with some fun dipping sauces, and a couple of salads. I had an amazing vegetarian burger made on premises - probably the best I've ever sampled with a tasty side Caeser. Around the table was a very good regular hamburger, a grilled cheese with pesto and tomatoe bisque, and a full steak dinner. The steak was a disappointment for the price - just a poor cut - but everything else was high quality. The desserts are fun, but nothing super special. Nice variety of drinks, beers and wine. We'll definitely go back.

We ate dinner two nights in a row, enjoyed the cocktails, clam chowder, beet salad, stuffed sole, seafood pasta, and more! Overall food was prepared well and was fresh. Service was lacking and payment is made awkward with the swiping at the table with the server - either leave it or do it differently, it is awkward to have the server do it even though we were good tippers! It lessened the experience. Nothing comparable in the area so it's a nice addition to Yachats.

We went to Ona for lunch after hiking Amanda Trail. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated outside as we had our two small dogs with us.
Our order consisted of a bowl of clam chowder, a hamburger, a shrimp melt and a panini.
The waitress brought the burger and soup first and told us the other two meals were going to take a little longer. The shrimp melt didn’t arrive until well after the burger and soup had been eaten. The waitress then told us that the cook hadn’t started the panini yet but she was trying to get him to make it.
The shrimp melt gets ate and still no panini. At this point the waitress refuses to even look our way. A half an hour later and still no panini. Finally I get up and flag down the waitress. I tell her to cancel the panini order and we will pay for the rest of the meals that were eaten. For three meals and four drinks the total was $70. We weren’t offered any compensation or even asked if we wanted to order something else instead. One member of our party went hungry and ended up eating leftover pizza over two hours after everyone else had eaten.
When we arrived the one of their workers, maybe the cook??? was outside on a cell phone and when we left he was outside on a cell phone. Maybe that’s why the panini never got made!

So disappointed with Ona's when we had dinner there last week. It used to be the best restaurant in town, but not now. Not only has service slipped, but the offerings are really lacking in diversity. Basically, they cater to the vegetarian/vegan/pescatarian crowd. I will say that the clam chowder I had was delicious, and the fresh oysters my spouse had were good. But the sole main course was just okay (not fresh). The calamari, however, was overcooked and much too spicy (copious amount of jalapeños). My after-dinner whisky drink, served neat, was obviously watered down.
My experience mirrored several others who felt the prices were too high for the quality of food being served now. Seems a few businesses in town have really cut corners this past couple of years and it really shows.

Great quality food with albacore seared to perfection leaving inside raw. Exceptional crab cakes with wonderful seasoning, little carb filler, and a thin, crispy crust. Remoulade was flavorful and complemented crab without overpowering the fish. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. They also have a very nice wine selection. I had the Sineann cabernet which was outstanding - medium tannins, long finish, dark fruit, tobacco, graphite...
The table next to us was a party of 6 who somehow had their meal delivery delayed. The dining room lead came to the table to apologize and offered free dessert for the entire party. Minutes later their dinners arrived. Outstanding and rare customer service to rectify an inconvenience IMO. Make recommendations online if you go. I cannot imagine this place has many empty tables.

Make a reservation as they don't take walk-ins ( or at least they didn't when we were there on a Tuesday in July). The food was amazing, and the service was very attentive. There are indoor and outdoor tables and if you sit outdoors, there are heaters. Indoors the tables were spaced out due to COVID and since we had one of the later seatings, there were not that many people in our part of the restaurant. The menu is not that big but the food is well prepared and creative in the pairing of ingredients. We had an amazing meal that started with the mushroom pate appetizer and was followed by fresh grilled seafood with freshly grilled seasonal green beans and carrots. The veggies were perfectly grilled with just a little bit of char that added to their sweetness. The crabcake that was part of my dish was the best I've ever had. It was all crab that had been perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. We had a delicious berry dessert and the COR Cellars wine was perfect. Would highly recommend it if you are in Yachats.

We stopped in here for dinner a couple of nights ago . We ordered the crab cakes which came with rice and broccoli and a half carafe of wine. The food and service were excellent. Everyone is still operating under COVID restrictions which people in Yachats take very seriously...so tables were spaced far apart and the servers we all wearing masks. We will come back again.

We stopped for lunch in Yachats and were happy to see this place had an outdoor dining area which overlooked part of the bay. We were seated promptly by friendly servers wearing masks and there was good social distancing of tables. I had the halibut bunwich and my husband the ahi tuna melt. He was in heaven, said the tuna melt was the best he'd ever had in his life. My halibut was two pieces of crisply battered melt-in-your-mouth halibut on a large brioche bun loaded with coleslaw and salad and a huge portion of crispy thin fries. Even the dressing on the bun was outstandingly delicious. The prices were what you'd expect in a pub, not this level of food quality. We wish we could go for dinner and cocktails!!

I was a bit skeptical about finding a good restaurant in Yachats, given COVID complications of supply chain issues. We had a short delay getting seated, despite their being not real busy, but once we were seated the service was quick and good. I ordered a seafood pasta, mostly because it included a saffron sauce. The serving size was substantial and all the components were excellently prepared. It is a bit expensive, but the quality of the food, especially in a seaside getaway area, is worth it.

We used to like this restaurant but the last time we were there the service was incredibly slow. It took us 25 minutes after we sat down to get one beer and one lemonade. The food came after we'd been there an hour. It didn't seem like they were understaffed at all as there were plenty of wait staff. But try to find them and they were no where to be seen. We ordered a full size ceasar salad to share for $16. It barely filled the small plate it was on and would have been adequate maybe for one person. I mean, how expensive is romaine lettuce? The fish sandwich i had was ok but the thick breading on the fish was very greasy. I asked for extra lemon and tartar sauce for the sandwich and it never came.
Now all this sounds kind of whiny as we had the privilege of eating out at a nice restaurant but if you're paying top dollar for food, you expect equal value and we certainly didn't get it.

We were able to dine at Ona without a reservation provided we ate indoors. After a big greasy burger for lunch, we just needed a little something to sustain us. A glass of crisp white wine, chowder, and salads and crab cake suited us quite well. Service was very efficient, and the food was really quite tasty.

From start to finish this restaurant is a class act. Service is superb as well as the food. We ordered the Ona Pasta and the Ling Cod with two glasses of white wine from Oregon vineyards. Everything is fresh and exquisitely seasoned. Finished the evening with their homemade peach ice cream. The atmosphere on a Friday night was pleasant, with indoor and outdoor dining, according to the wishes of the clientele. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant currently opens at 2PM for late lunch or pre-dinner cocktails. We stopped by around 3 for cocktails and easily snagged a table on the outdoor patio. The calamari appetizer was delicious and we enjoyed the wine selection so much we came back for dinner. The fish and seafood we had was fresh and the preparation good. Highly recommend!

Our last evening in Oregon we ate dinner here. The menu is updated often based on season and availability. Excellent seafood dishes, cocktails and desserts!! The only small issue is our service was a little spotty - we finished our cocktails and after about 15-20 minutes we have to ask for our waiter to order more. However our waiter was very kind (maybe short staffed?) And we were not in a hurry. We would definitely go back.
