We were here in 2017 before Irma. We had a wonderful time on the island and at the restaurant. They’ve rebuilt.

You van only get to Sandy Island Restaurant via boat - it’s an Island! Well, really more of a sand bar which must have been devastated by the hurricane last year. Nearly every building is new and obviously still a work in progress.

Very small island. Hurricane Irma reduced this tiny island and left only white sand. They are replanted the vegetation. We pre-ordered our lobster and crayfish (both over-priced) when we arrived and it was no better than I've had the pleasure to eat at Straw Hat....More
