We order take out on our way back to our hotel down the road. We were surprised on how heavy our bag was when we walked out of the restaurant! The amount of food for three orders was outrageous!!! The lady there made sure we...had plates and utensils! We ate on our deck at the hotel and we were very delighted and very full! We saw the 4.5 rating and didn’t read the reviews, sure wish I had read the last couple as it might have saved us $50. The absolute worst Chinese we have ever had, it ended up in the garbage. The BBQ pork was like shoe...leather and the deep fried prawns had a thick uncooked batter deep fried in old old grease. Vegetable Chicken and Egg Foo Young were marginal…C- at best. The restaurant is take out only and boxes stacked all around and not presentable.More
We have eaten here several times and always loved their food, but the last two times have been very disappointing. Quality of food is very poor. I ended throwing my take out in the garbage. I’ve never had crispy sesame beef that was prepared like...this order. Heavily tempura and cut into several pieces and never did see any meat. It was drowning in a sweet and sour sauce that tasted canned.More
I really wanted to like the food. Unfortunately I did not. I ordered a Super Deluxe Dinner which included Garden Chicken Chow Mein, Almond Fried Chicken. Sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, egg roll, fried prawns and BBQ pork. Where to start? The chow...mein was all noodles, no Chicken and a few wisps of cabbage. We asked for the s/s sauce on the side of the chicken. They left the gravy off the almond Chicken. And not an almond in sight. The pork fried rice was just white rice with soy sauce...no pork. eggs, or any veggies. The egg roll was all breading and tasted old. The BBQ pork was so overcooked and hard to eat. The fried prawns were also mostly breading. Needless to say, we will not be returning.More
We stopped here for takeout, ordered the lunch combo A, which included Sweet & Sour Chicken and Broccoli Beef. Both items were light and delicious! The coating on the chicken was especially tasty! We enjoyed the veggies, still crisp, and the beef was just right....We also devoured the order of potstickers, Yum! Our order was ready promptly as well, and portions were exceptional. We are happy that this restaurant has survived through the pandemic! We hope the summer brings them much prosperity! We look forward to our next visit.More
Ordered food to go. Ordered war wonton soup and hot and sour soup that lacked a bit of flavor. Ordered pork fried rice and beef fried rice that were good. Ordered the appetizer of bbq pork that had no taste except for the sweet and...sour dipping sauce. The best item was “Michaels chicken “ which seemed to have a batter outside in a honey type sauce. It was the best item we ordered.More
All I can say is that China Restaurant used to be good....but literally everything we ordered was terrible...the soup was bad the egg roll and bbq pork was bad...the main dishes were bad...even the fortune cookies were stale...what happened? we are locals and are not...going back ever again unless they fix it somehow.More

Several locals recommended this establishment. We were skeptical and so very wrong! The place itself is not much to look at but the staff and food is out of this world! Chef Michael is from San Francisco and taught cooking show classes. His wife Amy...is very friendly. We had their Chef Michael’s special, Triple chow mein, and pot stickers. Everything was fresh and delicious! This will definitely be a place we will return to!More

We came for a late lunch while passing through town. Looks a little sketchy but we made a good choice. I had Garden Vegetable Chicken- yummy brown sauce, tender chicken and perfectly cooked, fresh tasting veggies. My husband had beef broccoli- he loved the fresh...veggies and the flavorful sauce. It may be the only Chinese restaurant in town or north of Yachats but China Restaurant does not disappoint! Our personal favorites include Honey Walnut Prawns, Szechuan Shrimp, Salt and Pepper Fish and Shrimp Fried Rice.
