This is a careworn place full of locals and travelers along US 20. There is a "for sale" sign on the door, the restaurant business is tough I had great service from hardworking, caring and knowledgable staff Their chicken fried steak was deep fried which means it was prepackaged from Sysco, a bad trend. Same for the hash browns. Eggs... More

I gave the cafe 4 stars only because of the ambiance, or rather, the lack of it. What's not lacking is the selection of pies. They're known for their pies, and for good reason. From an extensive list, I chose the lemon meringue pie, which was risky, but I was rewarded for taking that risk. It was huge, and delicious... More

After a long drive through backroads seeing the high deserts of Oregon, a small cafe offered a promising late breakfast stop. We were rewarded for our optimism with a platter filled by fresh homemade biscuits, excellent thick sausage gravy, a full plate of hashbrowns, eggs, and surprisingly good vendor jams - and good coffee. The decor is cowboy, and amusing,... More

We were passing through town, and staying at the local RV park. Decided to try the Starlite for a quick dinner, and couldn't have been more pleased. This a typical small-town diner, but it's clean and the service was fast and very friendly. My wife and I each ordered a burger - hers was a plain hamburger, mine was a... More

On US 20 in empty eastern Oregon, it's the last place for pie going west and the first place going east for 113 miles. Great staff, nice vibe, busy with locals—and everyone passing through. 20 delicious homemade pies every day.

The breakfast menu has lots of choices. Service was very good. Coffee is okay but not terrific. It's in an older building but has parking and a ramp for wheelchair user. Easy access to the lot from adjoining road. Restroom is accessible. The house special omelet has e erythibg in it and is suitable to split with a friend. Have... More

Home style country cooking. Super large plate of deliciousness. Pretty much what you would expect from a home town restaurant and it did not disappoint

Frequented by locals and truck drivers. It's your basic roadside restaurant famous for their pies. It's basic, don't expect anything fancy.

I've been going to the Starlite since I was just a little boy. I love how, except for some remodeling over the years, this place hasn't changed. Great burgers, excellent breakfast, etc. I wish there were more of these types of restaurants around where I live now. A treat and a first stop for when I go home! A lot... More
