My wife and I have been to Planktown in Springfield dozens of times and this was a first. We arrived on a Monday after lunch. As we anticipated their were very few people there. We expected to spend an hour or two having a leisurely...lunch. After 15 minutes without water or a tap list, we were finally approached by the waitress. We ordered and waited another 25 minutes...nothing, no beer, no acknowledgement. We left and went to Cornucopia down the street and got stellar service and left a $20 tip. Previous to this trip, we had always been treated to what we consider a great experience. Excellent service, great wait staff, and wonderful food and beer. My wife and I know food service. Together we have over 30 years in the business. I owned a restaurant. I had talked to the owner many times in the past as well as Dan, who I believe is the floor manager and was not present that one bad day. We always praised both.More

really solid food. A lot of interesting takes on dishes. I had the steelhead bon mi, which was excellent. I also tasted the mushroom burger which excellent. The fresh aeoli was great to dip the truffle fries in. You wouldn’t think a bar would have...such fabulous food, but this one does.More

Food and service were okay Because of high ceilings,, hard to hear others in our party. Probably won’t be back!

I met several friends here for a wonderful lunch. The burger and fries were perfect....and the beer just wonderful. The atmosphere was just right, and the staff were uniformly friendly. Looking forward to another visit someday.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our party of 4 ordered 4 different items and we loved all. Coffee-crusted Ahu on grilled veggies was inspired...every bite a flavor explosion. Husband loved the pulled pork tacos. Friends thoroughly enjoyed the fennel chicken and arugula/beet salad. Loved the ambience and...the beer...perfect! We will return...and bring more friends next time.More

Okay, I'm old and love a really good restaurant. Did I mention that seeing a lot of dead animals (taxidermy and mounted heads on the wall, hunter-style) does nothing for my appetite. It was noisy, crowed, with 3 floors. Maybe not the best place to...go if your in wheelchair? Maybe they can accommodate you, but I'd suggest calling for a reservation, If you're HOH and looking for a cozy place for conversation, keep looking. Last, unless you'll eat anything, this is a very limited menu. I wasn't trilled that there was one or two items that I would consider eating... and I do eat beef and venison. Not a place I'll be going back to again.More

My wife, daughter and I stopped by after a cheer competition. They said it was going to be about a 20-minute wait, but turned into less than 10. The atmosphere and Decor are both really nice and tries to pay homage 2 Oregon's Timber industry...which I appreciate. The place is well kept and the staff very friendly and competent. Everything we had was very tasty and the only complaint if any we could give is that the tacos were very spicy. But in their defense, the waitress told us that. We will definitely be back.More
