Old gas station/garage turned into a very nice restaurant. Very casual. Old signage from the 30's, 40's and 50's decorate this place. Breakfast is the meal we had which was good. The home fries are delicious! The wait was minimal, and all seats have a great view of Main Street. Prices were a bit above what we were expecting. The... More

The owner is kind and helpful. The portions are sizable. It's good to sit at the counter, dine solo at a table, meet friends or bring a family. Everything we've tried has been good breakfast food. The scones and cinnamon roles are homemade I believe too which my friend's children have enjoyed. The oatmeal is a great portion with options... More

The food is great!! and the atmosphere is so interesting. This Cafe was originally a gas station - but the owners have made it into a intriguing place of automobile memorabellia. The food looks wonderful and taste even better!

This place is very solid choice for breakfast, the only fare I've sampled. Over the course of several visits, I ordered the potato pancake (with egg) combo, the corned beef whatever, and an omelette. Egg dishes come with choice of respectable hash browns, home fries or fruit. All the entrees were quite good and worth ordering again. There is plenty... More

After fighting blocked streets and traffic snarls related to Springfield's Veterans Day Parade (the weekend BEFORE Veterans Day!), it was about 1:40 in the afternoon when we walked into the Pump Café, which is only open until 2 p.m. daily. Despite the waning moments to closing, they welcomed us and said not to worry about the time. By the time... More

Fantastic breakfast with my wife. We shared the raspberry jam and cream cheese French toast (a Pump Cafe specialty) and potato pancakes. Great combo of sweet and savory. Service was friendly. This was our second visit and we will be back.

We had lunch. Prices were reasonable and food good. Nice comfort food. Only problem is that it is a busy place and can be very noisy and difficult to carry on a conversation.

I hate to not sing their praises for a local place. But our meal was average diner food. Fries were dry, thin and saltless. Salt does not stick to cool fries. The thousand island dressing I got for dipping sauce was above average. My Reuben sandwich was soggy and had too much sauerkraut for the size of the sandwich. The... More

The Pump Cafe never disappoints, whether it's a Patty Melt, Chicken Salad Sandwich or Raspberry and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast.... it's ALL good. The salads are huge and colorful, the coffee is good, and the baked items are outstanding.

We used this place for our leadership awards ceremony. Delicious food, special desserts, and fun atmosphere.... wish I'd had larger pockets or purse to sneak more leftovers home... haha... very satisfying.
