This 30 year vet chef says STOP here!!!!! It's the bomb. They know what they're doing. Light and fresh fried fish and seafood, fresh fish for the grill; crab and shrimp cocktail. Just awesome all around. Two days in Newport. 2 meals here. Scallops were the best! Nice grocery next door too

Fish market and restaurant. Best fish and chips ever. Great fresh and smoked fish. It's a fun, family friendly place to visit.

Where to start... Its very busy and hard to find a park spot but SO worth it! We almost turned around but I said no lets try it. I was so happy I said that. Steamers w/ Garlic, Calamari, fresh fish. I would have to say one of the best fresh seafood I have eaten in a while.

Had prawns & chips & calamari. It looked so busy we thought, this place has got to be great. I wish I would have stuck with a sandwich. It was so greasy we couldnt finish it. Was kinda bummed.

If you're looking for fresh fish, the South Beach Fish Market is the place for you. Lot's of choices: from calamari to halibut. The place is busy at peak hours, but the lines move quick and the food doesn't take long to get to you. This was the first stop when we came into town. We split an order of... More

I had the halibut and chips. So fresh and meaty! My husband had the whole dungeons crab and said it was amazing! S tad expensive but worth it for the freshness. And everything is made to order. Picnic benches outside to eat. Or indoor seating. A must stop in this small coastal town.

Wonderful little fish market and eatery that has a full parking lot almost every time you pass it, no matter the time of day! Bring Clorox wipes for the outdoor picnic tables if that bothers you, because people are eating as fresh as it gets seafood out of paper bowls and dripping spicy sauces (lots of horseradish!!) made on site!... Very casual, you stand on line, place your order and grab a seat inside or outside. not fancy but crab was good, and other items were just as fresh. Good place to eat without fanfare and good for kids.

I love the review below..."Ignore the appearance" because that is exactly what you should do! The food is great! The fish is fresh! And...you'll be missing out if you pass them by because of appearance! I first visited a couple of years ago, and the same staff are still working there. The cook is hard working and was patient with... More

This is really one of the best kept secrets on the coast. Buy your seafood and take it home or have them cook you up some, either way you will be happy. They do not do fancy dishes or fancy tables but the seafood is the best I have ever had at any restaurant, ever! Looks like a trashy roadside... More
