CDT is off the beaten path, there are large servings and numerous courses, The decor is rustic Western, to match the landscape.

This is a funky little cowboy-themed hole-in-the-wall restaurant out in the middle of nowhere, but it has a legendary reputation and people come from far and wide to eat here. Reservations are a must. For one set price, each diner may choose either chicken or steak for their entree. Prior to the main meal, you are served fresh salad, soup,... More

You better like your steak blood-rare, as they seem incapable of cooking it any other way. They do ask you how you want it, but the cook does not seem to pay any attention. Be prepared to send your steak back for more time on the grill (while the rest of your meal gets cold).

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the country. We travel a lot and always schedule a stop at the Cowboy Dinner Tree right before we leave on a long trip because there will be leftovers that will last for days. With a limited menu, steak or chicken the food has to be good to stay in business so... More

We've been here two or three times and LOVE it. The food is excellent, even though you don't get to pick your sides. :) I have ZERO complaints about this place.

After a short rough check in debacle and a bump in the road, our final meal and subsequent stay was and still is as of this writing an enjoyable and rewarding experience for us. The management proved to be professional minded and guest friendly. Recommend a trip here and you may bump into us as future guests here.

We stayed in LaPine while traveling specifically to go to Cowboy Dinner Tree. We are glad we did. The meal was great!!! and the portions were very generous - especially the huge steak or full chicken per person. Loved the rolls! We noticed experienced diners had their Tupperware with them. We took our leftovers (of everything!) home in provided plastic... More

80 miles outside of Bend, seemingly in the middle of nowhere....but what fun! The restaurant is one step above a shack, decorated with cowboy boots, saddles, spurs, and the like. The service is friendly, the food portions HUGE. The chicken and steaks were very good, endless salad fresh and crisp, soup delicious, but the rolls are amazing. Hot out of... More

We took our kids and some family friends to the Cowboy Dinner Tree and it was great! The atmosphere was inviting and the decor was indicative of the time period being portrayed. The grounds allowed for great photo opportunities and the food was excellent. Although it was on the higher side regarding price, it was definitely a fun experience for... More

We go ther at least twice a year. It is about a 100 mile drive for us each way, but well worth it. Steak or a full chicken, soup, salad meat and baked potato, homemade rolls and a small cobbler or something for dessert. wow you take what you don't eat with you. About $25. the last time we were there.
