One of the remotest gems in Oregon. This was or first time here, but will definately return. It is literally in the middle of nowhere. Reservations only and cash only. You have only 2 choices, a whole chicken or a 2 pound steak Bbq to perfection. The meal comes with fresh salad with homemand dressings, the best beans you will... More

Friends took me to the Cowboy Dinner Tree before my return flight. I couldn't imagine before I got there why anyone would drive so far to get to a restaurant; but, once there, I knew. The decor was very, very unique and the food delicious and more than plentiful. It was a real treat.

The restaurant is a total surprise! It is located smack in the middle of the high desert - no town anywhere in sight. The buildings are very rustic looking, and the guest is left wondering if they made a mistake in coming. Fear not, you are in for a wonderful surprise. They have a gas fired outdoor grill with counterweights... More

Very rustic atmosphere, and fun place with more food than one could possible eat at a single sitting! Enjoyed it every time we've been there!

We stayed in the "small cabin" for the night and it is very rustic complete with spiders and spider webs. The bed shares the same room with the shower and toilet. It sleeps two on an old fashioned spring bed covered with 3 antique quilts. The bed shares the room with the toilet and shower and you get one towel... More

Saddle up folks and mosey on out to the middle of nowhere and experience what the cowhands of yesteryear chowed down on after a hard day's on the range. My wife tackled the roasted chicken, while I wrestled one of the finest steaks ever cut from the herd. For you city-slickers, a doggy-bay is provided cause ya ain't ever goin'... More

I know a lot of people love this place and I, for the most part, agree with them. The rolls are great as is the salad and soup that come with them. The atmosphere is great, it's an old outbuilding of some sort that has been converted, barely, to a dining room. There is a ton of cowboy/ranch stuff on... More

We were passing through, so I called a week in advance to get reservations. Time wasn't good, but we made them anyway. We were on our way to a weekend in the desert and, frankly, I had not packed enough food. Well, we had ordered two steak dinners, one chicken and two kids. We left stuffed and had food for... More

Holy cow, When I first arrived I smiled and the smile never left my face. The people are great. The food was great. The small cabin was great. The sunset was great and the sunrise was great. I know it is a little drive to get to it but it is so worth it. I can't wait to go again... More
