I have had fish and chips this good before at the Bowpicker in Astoria. But there you can't just drive up and get service while you wait in your car. Fantastic food with exceptional service will keep this location in high demand!!

Quick and reasonably priced. Pulled into town late and needed to grab some dinner before heading to our rental. Very easy to find. Had never tried tuna as fish and chips but it was good. The fries were excellent. It’s cooked while you wait. Service...was friendly. Will swing by next time I’m in town.More
I found this place a few years ago and the food was great! This time the portions were smaller and over cooked. I would blame Covid, but this is a drive up only.
Great drive up for tuna and chips! We picked up an order and went to park for a great lunch! They packed everything you need from napkins, ketchup, tarter sauce! Very fresh, very well packed for takeaway! Would stop here again if passing through!
Great little takeout place in Seaside. They serve fabulous fish tacos and tuna fish and chips perfectly cooked (not too dry at all) and excellent fries. The food was cooked to order and was nice and hot. We appreciated being able to drive through and...wait in our car rather than standing outside at the Bowpicker. We WILL be back!More
A sign says "tuna and fries". Well that was enough. And the lunch was great. Not the least expensive but affordable and it will fill up the kids too and you can share. It is drive through on both sides. GOod service and faster than...expected. Wonderful for a family we would say. Go to the beach and eat it --we did that and it was divine .More
We ordered two large orders and an order of tacos. Price point is great for the large order of tuna ($ 12 for a large order). Price point for the tacos is just ok ($ 8 for two tacos). We have been eating up and...down the Oregon coast - Bowpicker, Sea barron etc. (see reviews elsewhere) for great fish & chip. Had high expectation for this place.... Well, tacos are good but really messy and little fish. The main event, though, is a disappointment. The fish was way, way over-fried.... Crunchy to the point of in-edible. The fish, obviously fresh, did not shine through... Big miss.More
We have eaten here before, and enjoyed it very much. However this meal had very small pieces of fish that were overcooked, making them tough.
This has always been a "must go to" place when we visit Astoria. On this visit we attempted to go one time on our way north as we passed through Seaside, but 101 was so incredibly busy, we couldn't make a left turn and the...lines were too long anyway. We returned the next day when they opened. The gentleman that helped us was very polite and helpful and directed us to a nice place overlooking the bay to enjoy our fish dinners. The food was all hot and the fish was crispy and flaky as it always has been. We returned again 2 days later and it was completely different. I don't know if the fish had been pre-cooked and sitting for awhile or if it was just overcooked, or if it was just bad fish, but both of our meals were terrible. All 10 fish pieces in our 2 large meals were dry and chewy. You could see the the dryness just looking at it. Within an hour, we were miserable with stomach cramps. $22 for this experience was not acceptable and as much as I've loved it in the past, this one experience was a game changer. Sadly, we won't be back. Stars are based on an average of the two visits this trip.More
Absolutely Horrible customer service!!! Waited in line for 50 minutes, then when I pulled up to the window to place my order at 6:59pm, (they close at 7:00). The worker saw me pull up to the window, shut the window and looked at me, then...walked away. I thought she might be busy with another customer, so I waited another 10 mins at the window, with her looking directly at my at least 5 different times. At no time did she bother to open the window and tell me they were now closed. She literally ignored us at the window for 10 mins. There were also about 12 cars in line on both sides one i got to the window, and the same thing happened to them- they were just ignored and sat there wondering what was going on. Poor management and poor workers! I will NEVER go here again, which would have been my first time. Like they say, a first experience can be a make or break, and this was definitely a break. I would not recommend this “local” business that relies and survives heavily on tourism. Go to Buoy’s Best if you want great fish and chips- they are simply the best, and have awesome customer service.More
