We weren’t starving when we entered. The menu offered lots of options. Simple order: Philly Roll, Eel Roll, Maguro nigiri and a terrific fried ice cream. The “waffle” part was kind of soft and spongy, tasty.
From the moment we sat down, we had a good time! Our waitress Sierra was very attentive and professional. Both of us ordered from the senior menu one was a tempura mix the other one was the senior combo. Both dishes were excellently prepared. The...only marked down on the food would be the soup was luke warm. And we asked Sierra for the kitchen to turn the temperature up on that she complied. We found a service to be attentive quick and the food excellent this is about our eighth time being here and we will come back.More
Good from far but far from good. I gave it one star because of the local beer on tap. The fried cheese app was good but the sushi was terrible. If you have good sushi at home skip this place. My daughter took one bite...of hers and it was so gross she didn’t have more than that. The waitress never asked if there was something wrong or offered to take it off the menu.
Just not worth the time.More
The combination dinner is always a good choice. You can get sushi, teriyaki or tempura and it comes with soup and salad. Presentation on a little bridge is cute. They have many sushi rolls they have created for Seaside.
We had a wonderful dinner experience here on 9 Aug. Our server Olivia was very gracious, patient and professional. It’s always easy to overeat at a restaurant like this and we did just that! A couple speciality items we had, the Japanese Pizza is very...flavorful. One of us had a Jane’s Saketini which was very good, enough to get a second. All the sushi is good, their sauces are exquisite. The only negative was the calamari batter it was blah..More
Went for dinner with my wife. I don't particularly care for sushi but she does. They offer a variety of Japanese dishes in addition to Sushi. I had the Sukiyaki and it was some of the best I have had, also a very large portion.... My wife enjoyed the chicken udon and also a sushi roll. Food was very good, prices were reasonable and service was good. we will be eating here again.More
Horrible service. First to have order taken last to receive drinks or food. Then found bugs in the rice. Manager rude and unwilling to help situation. Will tell everybody and anybody NOT TO GO THERE EVER!!!
We have eaten our fair share of sushi from around the world and this little place is a definate favorite. We recommend the Lion King and Double Shrimp. Lots of pieces for the money and they were able to accomadate a group of 18 with...no issues.More
I love sushi.
I was not a fan on this night. I know that on some nights the chief can be off, and the product that they must work with is not the best, and I hope that was the case for me. I always...start my meal with their orders of maguro(tuna). I find that I can tell a lot with the first two bits as to how the food will be that night. Today was not bad, I did not have to rip it apart to bite through it and that is a good thing, but it was like what I would get at a food-go-round. Our rolls were also just so-so. I was hoping for a lot more, but their food was only average.More
Everyone's got their favorite sushi place and I'm always hesitant to try when I'm traveling. My concerns escalated when we arrived for our pick-up order. There wasn't a single Japanese chef or server in the place. Just like I want Mexican people cooking my Mexican...food I want Japanese people making my sushi.
However, my fears were unwarranted. This was very good sushi with very fresh fish. From the trays coming out of the sushi bar for the eat-in customers I could tell right away this was a great place. Walking back to our hotel the sushi moved around in the bag and wasn't presented as nicely but it still tasted great. My only disappointment was the fried calamari: it was really good but really small for $9.
If you're looking for world-class sushi this isn't it but if you're looking for high quality sushi in Seaside then you won't be disappointed.More
