At Sam's Seaside Cafe, we help put the relaxation into your beach trip. As a casual family restaurant, we've been serving traditional American favorites for decades. Fabulous Food!

I can't speak highly enough of Sam's Seaside Cafe. What a treat. We went in for the two pound steamer clam special and also ordered the calamari which was the best I've ever had. We also had a nice side salad with bay shrimp that was a good value at $6. Our server, Nicole, was great. So nice and attentive. The service, atmosphere and food were first rate. I highly recommend this place. Perfect for families or couples. Thanks Sam's!

So good! We split a cod burger and ty special. Flavors were decadent. Absolutley a find! Cod burger had lettuce, red onion, crunchy pickle with an onion bun aww so good. Homemade fries with housemade ranch and perfect tater tots.

Disappointed they changed the menu

We've been coming here for years and always look forward to the turkey sandwich on a crouissant. We were sad to discover that they changed their menu to mainly burgers and seafood. We ordered burgers which were just average. Our drink orders arrived after our food. Kids order was incorrect, but they fixed it. I do recommend the cheese curds; they were tasty. Service was slow because the place was so busy. Our booth didn't look like it was properly cleaned between guests. Bring back the sandwiches, Sam!

Not what it used to be

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. We have been coming here for over 20 years and many times have made the 3 hour drive to have lunch here. This time it seems like things have changed and not for the better. Two of our parties fish was not cooked correctly. This fish was overcooked and chewy while the batter was undercooked and soggy. They did remake the fish but the problem was the same and both people did it. The clam chowder which is what we normally go there for was not even close to what it normally is. Although the waitress knew we were not happy about the food (she was told when she asked if the second batch of fish was better that it was not) we were still charged for the food (I would have expected it to be taken off the bill as it was barely touched since it was almost uneatable). I did not recognize any of the staff from previous visits (although it's been a while since our last visit. ) Not planning any day trips for lunch there and not sure if I want to try again when we go back to Seaside. Sadly, it may be time to find a different "go to " restaurant for our trips to the Coast.

Great chowder and burgers

We were looking for somewhere with good fish and chips and burgers and lots of reviews led us to this place, it wasn’t very busy when we went on a Saturday night at 7pm. My husband got an avocado havarti burger and I got cod fish and chips. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive. My husband loved his burger and ate every bite. My fish and chips were so greasy. I ate two bites of one piece and it was dripping down my arm and had a little pool of grease on the plate. The fries were just a giant slop of grease. It sucks because they had lots of flavor but were just so greasy I couldn’t eat it. I told the server and she took it off the bill and agreed. The clam chowder was surprisingly one of the best I’ve ever had! It had loads of clams in every bite. Maybe this is just a hit or miss. I would give it one more try!

Hidden gem

This spot was recommended by the hotel concierge. Great place for dinner and a conveniently short walk to get there. Our server, Josh, was friendly, helpful and very efficient. I had pan fried oysters and they were so good, I hesitated to try them anywhere else. The fries were hand cut and done just right. Both Josh and the woman (I neglected to get her name) working the bar took a few minutes to explain what the drinks entailed. After the trouble they went to, I almost felt guilty about just ordering wine with dinner. I highly recommend this little place for the food and the excellent service.

Really, REALLY delicious fish and chips

Sam's was a great find. Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, a good selection of local beers and a menu with something for everyone. Service was excellent. We will definitely eat here again when we come to Seaside.

Excellent Food

Bar type food, very good. I had a pita bread plate with lot's of yummy veggie's, hummus and toasty warm pita bread. Lots of pita bread, most places give you lot's of hummus but skimp on the Pita. Hubby had a burger and handmade fries. Nice quality meat. PS - my photo is a little nasty as I forgot to take a photo prior to starting in on it! It was Yummy!

It was "ok"

Walked into this restaurant as we were walking to the prom. We thought it was cool bc my daughters name is Sam so we decided to eat here on a whim. The service was very very slow. There were a lot of young people running the front. An older gentleman came out and kind of moved things along, which was nice. The booths are not comfortable but whatever, we just came to eat a quick meal. I probably wouldn't come back tho.

Get some amazing chowder at Sam's!

This place has one of the clam chowders that I have ever had. It is loaded with clams and has a uniquely tasty flavor. The waitresses were helpful and friendly. The burger and tots were great!

Great food, but didn't eat here this time. Located right in the middle of Seaside, close to other attractions. Close to on street parking or parking lot.

We make it a point to go there when we're in Seaside. The food is super, especially the fish and chips, hamburgers. All the staff are great too, very friendly.

Overpriced for burgers and salad

As a gluten free person I agreed since it had GF buns. Instead I chose salad. $15.99 for a Cobb Salad. What I received was a side-salad-sized salad. Way overpriced.

Super friendly, good Fish&Chips

Especially the Cod F&C were delicious and freshly made! Really enjoyed that. We chose Sam's because they had the best-looking food pictures on their website and they did not dissapoint. Thank you!
