We chose this place as our first restaurant option because of its cute lighthouse atmosphere inside and out. When relatives joined us later on our trip, we thought it was good enough to take them there.

The staff was amazing, they accommodated a large group with little wait and the food was very good. Large portions and many choices on the menu.

My wife and I visited Norma”s diner recently and left shocked and very disappointed. We were provided with clear plastic containers to drink water from. One was cracked and both had multiple scratches from years of use probably. We both were served with the chowder...which was ok. My wife ordered the fish cakes. They were served with a dry baked potato and a slice of bread toasted and buttered with garlic butter. I ordered chicken which was served with a dry baked potatoes and a slice of bread with a garlic butter spread also. The menu indicated onions and mushrooms were included but neither were served with my dish. The food was dry in texture and lacked any real taste. The shock was the bill at $ 30.00 for the fish cakes and $ 18.00 for the chicken “ meal “ Total $ 48.00 for a sub standard diner experience ! This is the dearest fast food diner in the west -or East for that matter. Choose wisely and avoid disappointment at this seaside diner.More

My wife's sirloin and lobster was great. Do not order the 32$ rib steak. It's more like a skirt steak, it will be over cooked I know because I ordered it rare and got medium. Then when I said something they took my steak. Said...that's just the way it comes and that was that. I asked for it to go and he said too bad... they threw it away. I left $140.00 lighter and still hungry. Never going back. Jose was a great waiter so I tipped him but felt completely ripped off. So disappointing. It was my wife's birthday and now she's also feeling bad.More

The food was good in some parts of the fish... Shocked me when the whole crab was $65. It was dry over cooked I wouldn't say its worth $65. How.much isn't s pound not 30 ...

Food was very good. Lovely oyster shooters. Fine, light, tasty breading on fried oysters. My first time for fried razor clams--outstanding. (However, if you only have had east coast clams, try just one razor clam; they're quite different from what you're used to!) SERVICE WAS...EXTRAORDINARILY FINE.More

Nothing to write home about but decent food, decent prices, and good service. Wouldn’t necessarily return, but good value for money.

There were four of us and each loved their food. I had the fish and chips combo. Unique and delicious with salmon, halibut, cod, and tuna. Our server was prompt, attentive, personal and polite.

We've been to this restaurant several times over this years, and absolutely love it! It's centrally located near the beach in downtown Seaside, has super friendly staff, and the food is excellent. If you're in Seaside, and looking for a great place to dine-in, you...needn't look any further than Norma's Seafood & Steak!More

Went to Norma's after hearing multiple glowing reviews. I don't think those people have actually ever eaten food or were paid for their testimony because what we received was quite literally the worst food I've ever been served. The hamburgers were still frozen inside. The...fish and chips were so greasy. It looked burnt but was somehow undercooked. The quality of this food was beyond inedible; it defied the laws of physics. Do yourself and your wallet and your family a favor and avoid Norma's.More

We all had the clam chowder to start our meal. Creamy, chunky, perfect. Our table had oysters, a selection of fish and crab and it was all top notch. Service was excellent.

I got the the beer battered albacore fish and chips and it was one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. The fish was meaty and the batter was crispy and had a great flavor. This is the only place In seaside you...can order this type of fish and chips. The tarter sauce was homemade and delicious. They give you 4 good size pieces for $14. Everyone liked their food. I wanted to give 5 stars but the service was really bad. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the sever never checked on us and we needed soda refills and more condiments and she never came back until we were finished with our meals. We were eating for a good 25 minutes so I’m not sure why she ignored us. I would get it if it was a full restaurant and she was busy but it wasn’t. But other then that the food was great.More

Doing a Google search it appears to be only on Mondays, between Nov and February. However, my husband and I always share a meal and find that it is plenty for both us at any time.
