This estblishment is right on the main drag . The menu is extensive and offers choices in many categories. I had sauteed shrimp with herb, olive oil pasta. I got six large shrimp and my pasta was tasty. I particularly enjoyed the clam chowder I had for starters. Most everyone in my party ordered seafood of some variety and none of us were disappointed. The only negative is the location for parking and it was crowded and very busy so the service suffered not that they werent giving it their best effort.

Food was incredible and a great value. The crab was so good and came with a salad and a fully loaded baked potato for $20. Waitress didn’t appear to like her job, it wasn’t that busy. Food was good, expect subpar service

We have enjoyed Dooger's in varrious locations for many years on the Oregon Coast. First time in this location. Inside atmosphere is rather drab and out dated. No view of anything except the busy main street outside. No handicapped parking, in fact only street parking within a few blocks. So once seated we waited a while to be greeted by a server who excused his tardiness by saying: "Sorry for the delay but we are slammed.." whatever that means? The menu is a broad assortment mostly deep fried something or other. No accommodation for light eaters. My Razor Clams were too much batter and deep fried so could only taste the clams after peeling off the unwanted batter. My companion's soup and salad with bay shrimp was better. Dooger's needs to get with the times and offer more contemporary menu items especially for older and diet conscious customers. Overall it was a nice lunch except for the slow service and drab interior

Met my brother and his family here. We ate out in the parking lot on picnic benches so that my niece's two dogs could join us...as well as being surrounded by other dogs (this is bonus points...love dogs), Parking area was very clean, and there were umbrellas over the picnic tables. May want to invest in some outside heaters, it got a little chilly, but nothing unbearable. Initially was looking forward to a little surf and turf with crab legs, but we were informed that they had run out of crab legs (at 5pm?). Anyway, it might have been to my benefit because it had been a long time since I had razor clams, and these were freaking awesome. 3 good size clams fried up with a side salad with shrimp. Both were excellent. Not so good was the watered down lemonade. Everyone else at the table said the food was excellent. The waiter was really nice and food was served quickly. I wo9uld highly recommend Dooger's, just make sure you call ahead if your heart is set on crab.

This place was recommended by our hotel manager. At first, we were impressed and excited. We got the crab cake appetizer, which was pretty good. A little over-fried, but good. My husband got the crab legs, which don't come as legs at all, but a tiny bowl of crab meat. Now if we got actual crab legs and took all the meat in it and put it in a bowl, we're not sure if it would be more meat, but I suspect it would be. And it's weird just to eat some little bites of crab. Maybe it's the experience of getting them out of the legs that we missed, but it was weird. I ordered the admiral's platter or whatever the big combo dinner was. I thought it would be awesome to try all the different kinds of fish and other seafood. I should have realized from the description that it all came fried, but for some reason I thought it was only the shrimp that was fried. It is an entire plate of fried food, really really fried, and it all pretty much tasted the same. The salmon and halibut and other fish was fried so much it was super dry, and you couldn't really tell one thing from the next. The only thing we really liked on my plate was the calamari. It was a very expensive meal that we decided we could have gotten at some fast food fried fish place. We were super disappointed. I wouldn't say don't go there, but definitely don't get that combo dinner. Get something that you can decide on how it is cooked. I will say that our server was super nice, and we had a good experience service wise. Just not a good food experience.

Overall we had a great experience! Especially with our server...she was attentive, warm and funny! The atmosphere was cozy and lively - with great views of all the bustling activity outside, right from our table! We walked here from the promenade so didn’t deal with parking, but it looks like it’s all street parking as it’s in the main little touristy area. Not sure if they have their own lot. There was a short wait, but we were seated in less than 15 minutes! So not bad at all. It was clean and comfy! Our table was in a corner by the window and all the tables were spread more than far enough apart for social distancing. And everyone wore masks. I ordered the “lite” portion of the crab pasta (other choice is the “full” portion) and I’m so glad I did bc it was enormous lol! It also comes with a salad with shrimp on top and some garlic bread. It was all heavenly!! I asked for mushrooms in my pasta also and it was free of charge for the add on! So awesome! Omg that sauce was light and creamy and just decadent and had plenty of crab in it...and the bread was phenomenal! I paired it with a local Pilsner on tap which was excellent as well! The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is for my friend’s meal. So their menu is a little misleading! My friend ordered the “lite” portion of their “Crab Legs” dinner. The menu claims it’s a plate full of “de-shelled crab legs”. So we were expecting just that. But what they give you is only crab CLAWS which is a big difference. The taste was excellent and the portion was decent - but we felt kinda scammed lol! So maybe consider being more honest on the menu and saying CLAWS and not the whole legs ;)

My daughter had never had crab legs and wanted to try them. We stopped here and they were out of crab legs due to pricing but they did have whole crab which was a great option. Her and I split a crab meal and added a cup of chowder and tater tots for her sides and I got the baked potato and salad that were options to go with the meal. Everything was delicious, I tasted the chowder and it was also very good. My husband had a few beers and I had a couple greyhounds. Drinks were good and the waitress told my daughter she makes a really good Shirley Temple. My daughter agreed. Very nice waitress, checked in with us just the right amount of times and was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed this place a lot as we stopped before we headed out of town and back home.

Doogers is listed as best seafood restaurant in Seaside for a lot of reasons. The chowder was in a light cream sauce and full of small dice clams and potatoes. Both entrees, the salmon and crabcakes, were perfectly prepared and nicely presented. My husband said the rice was quite tasty. Cindy, our waitress, was attentive and helpful. With another couple of days in Seaside, we will go back!

Had dinner here on a Thursday night about 8:30 PM when I could not get in at my preferred restaurant because the wait there was over an hour. Well, there was no wait at Doogers and I was soon to discover why. I sat there for what seemed like an eternity until my waitress finally came over. As an older woman who sometimes travels and dines alone, I swear I am invisible at times. It can be really really upsetting. The waitress did apologize for the wait and I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a salmon dinner. The chowder was quite thin but flavorful with lots of clams. The salmon was bland, over cooked and dry, undoubtedly farm raised salmon. Not good. I would not recommend this place at all, only as a last resort if you can't get in anywhere else.

We love visiting the beautiful little town of Seaside, and never miss a stop at Doogers for a meal. Start with a bowl of their awesome clam chowder and keep moving from there. I was celebrating my birthday so ordered the crab legs...only they don't come in the shell you have to pry them out of, the work is already done, and they arrive in a bath of melted garlic butter! My husband had the halibut--always fresh seafood here. The outside area was new and very cozy, with a fire pit and umbrella tables. We had to best time and will be back again soon. Don't miss this place!

My husband and I have never eaten inside Dooger's but we travel through Seaside 2-4 times a year in our motorhome and we heard they had great New England clam chowder from a friend several years ago. My family originates in Maine so I am a "chowdah" snob. We were too early this trip so thought we would get a pint of soup to go from Moe's in Florence. That was a decent rendition of a New England version and had a lot of clams-but no comparison to Doogan's. We will wait the 20 min until they open next trip. Service is also good. My husband loves the chowder crackers and likes extra. Doogan's always obliges, Moe's gave him one pack and filled in the rest with soda crackers-really?

We came here on a Friday night w/o reservations and were seated after a 5-10 minute wait at a large, pleasant well located table. We started our meal with a bottle of Snoqualmie Riesling which had a pleasant and distinctive flavor. Our waitress, Chelsea H., was very personable and enjoyable and eager to please. My wife had a small order of the halibut fish and baked potato with clam chowder. It was an ample portion and the chowder was very good and the fish outstanding. I had a large (five piece vs three by piece) order of the salmon fish and baked potato which was loaded with sour cream, butter and chives and a green salad smothered in shrimp with blue cheese dressing on the salad and on the side. The baked potato was so good that I ate it all, including the skin and the salad with shrimp was great with lots of shrimp and the nice chunky blue cheese the perfect dressing to set it off. The blue cheese dressing which is homemade daily was possibly the best my wife and I have ever tasted and I ordered extra blue cheese dressing to go with the fish, as I prefer it to tartar sauce for fish. The fish were outstanding! My step daughter had a pasta dish that she enjoyed very much! We were all so full we couldn’t eat any dessert but the choices were so good that we got two to go for later that evening! Despite it being a Friday night service was not rushed and remained amiable and welcoming throughout the evening! Great food and the very best of customer service was an outstanding start to our Seaside vacation for our daughter, Rebecca’s birthday! Very highly recommended for a special or any occasion!

Drove 2 1/2 hours to get crab. The pair of us split a side salad. It was good. The greens were nicely chopped. We each had a crab cocktail. At first sniff, the crab did not have a fresh smell and it didn't taste right. The cocktail sauce was heavy on the horseradish - perhaps to hide the smell and taste. The service was good but I don't think the food was worth the $60 I spent on it. Disappointing.

W were so excited to try this place. We ordered the salmon fish and chips, chicken strips and Marion Berry cobbler. First of all they forget to give us our complete order so we had to go back. It’s take out only during COVID and they didn’t put any napkins of forks in with or order or even ask if we needed them. Next, The salmon and chicken were dry and the sweet potato fries were soggy. The cobbler that they tout as one of the two things to not be missed wasn’t even heated, It was straight out of the fridge, and didn’t have much flavor. They did apologize over the phone but it didn’t feel sincere. Definitely will not be going back.

Just left there a couple hours ago. Sweet and attentive server Hillary. We had Shrimp Alfredo Linguini and Halibut pieces with a baked potato and a crisp salad with bay shrimp. Both were just okay/good but nothing special and we felt overpriced for what we got. Only five shrimp and the halibut sizes were very small. Did like that the breading was very light and not oily at all. Thought the garlic bread was a joke, hard to call it that in my opinion. The small cup of clam chowder though was very tasty. We decided to try the Strawberry Cheese Cake which I thoroughly enjoyed. Here for a few days but now doubt we will return. Also the background music was strange, like two songs going at once in the distance.
