A Gem in this Coastal Town

A child's dream come true

Over 150 flavors to choose from. Whatever you like you'll find it here. A bit claustrophobic but a fun experience. This is a child's fantasy come true.

A Seaside Icon!

We've been visiting Seaside for almost two decades, and the Seaside Candyman store is an icon! We always make it point to stop by and spin the wheel for FREE taffy! Huge selection of flavors, and the staff we've encountered are friendly and helpful. We always look for the "Singing Candyman" on Broadway, too, and he never fails to bring a smile to our face!

Horrible customer service!

I will never shop here again! I bought a chunk of rocky road fudge from them and it was straight chalk. I called and left my name and number for the manager so I could talk to them about this and not a single person called me back. I called again a week later after no response and the manager said all sales are final. I asked her why it was chalk and she basically said it was my fault, I probably left it in my car too long. Then said all sales are final and said goodbye and hung up on me. I was not asking for a refund, I was asking for a reason as to why she gave me bad product and she refused to help me at all. I don't recommend this place to anyone! Half of my taffy isn't even formed and I've had to throw it away because I can't eat it. I worked in customer service for 12+ years, you don't treat people like that.

Pretty disappointed

I had high hopes for this place because of the good reviews. Purchased 3 types of truffles and some chocolate covered honeycomb. Half of the honeycomb was an awful chalky texture inside. The salted caramel truffle was okay, the other two I purchased were just not good. Overall pretty disappointing, maybe their taffy is better.

Jelly beans and salt water taffy galore

Tucked away in a small mall just off the main street is this candy shop. It feels a bit old and run down, but the assortment of candy is unbelievable. Although they don't make the taffy there, they have rows and rows of flavours. Worth a visit just to see the variety.

So sad and disappointed

Placed an order for taffy with them to send to my brother in the army for his care package. Never received my order called them and asked since I never received it. I was told sorry once it leaves their hands they are no longer responsible for it and there is nothing they can do. Pretty sad that I purchased taffy there but never got my package so I could send it to my brother. So I guess if you order and something happens to your stuff you’re just out of luck like me. I’ll be looking for another place to get some replacement taffy for my brother one that can guarantee delivery.

Salt water taffy. TONS of flavors, more than I've ever seen but NO TASTE! Bought over $10 worth, maybe 20 flavors. I've eaten about 15 of them and only recognized or remember 2 flavors! They ALL taste the SAME. And there are crumbs that fall out all over when you open them. They're like plain old jelly beans compared to Jelly Bellies. SWEET but NO TASTE. Sad, cause they were friendly & had SO many flavors.

Taffy was hard as a rock! Old taffy is not good taffy So sad after getting taffy at this store for over 20 years to be highly disappointed like this Get back to basics and at least make a good product not purchase from some warehouse

Sad and depressing place

I'm sure this was once a beacon of delight but it is now a run down, dirty place with old candy and slightly melted jellybeans that you definitely wouldn't want to buy. Because all the candy are stored in the plastic tubes, don't expect them to be fresh.

ordered online-didn't receive full order! Beware!

I placed an order online from the Seaside Candyman and I didn't receive the full order but I was charged for the full order! I tried several times to contact them regarding the missing items but was completely ignored by them. Beware if you plan on ordering online, as it isn't the best tasting taffy and surely not good enough to take the chance of being defrauded out of money for a product you NEVER receive!

Biggest, but not the best

There are many salt water taffy stores. This one has the widest selection of flavors, but the taste isn't the best in town, and the wrappings are carelessly applied, leaving the taffy leaking out of the wax paper.
