We went for a light dinner here on Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time. The service was friendly and fast. The establishment clean and had plenty of room. The food we had was great. Starting with oyster shooters (we ended up having 6 between...3 oyster eaters) from willapa bay were clearly very fresh. Then we ordered a pound of steamer clams, a plate of seasoned shrimp (one pound or more - about 25) perfectly seasoned and cooked. To round it out we had an order of calamari which again was perfect. One person had a cup of chowder which we all tried and though it was good as well. A fun evening at a fun place!!More

The service wasn’t the best… we got seated after standing in the lobby for 5 minutes then once we were seated took another 15 minutes just for a drink order then another 10 for food order. We really didn’t see the server unless we said...excuse me when she walked by. But the crab cakes were really good! Lots of crab and little breading which was nice. They had a chipotle aioli dipping sauce and a lemon sauce and it was so delicious! The clam chowder wasn’t the best I had on this trip, it was really runny. My husband liked his crab melt. I would come back again.More

Quality of the food wasn’t very good. Server was nice. For what we had the food just wasn’t the best. Clam chowder, I would skip. Even though we ordered clam chowder with every meal on our trip. That’s a lot of clam chowder on a...five day stay in OR. This one, not the best. Fish and chips were really good. The steamer seafood for 2 seemed over cooked. Corn was really good! Overall, I would skip this place next time we are in town.More

The food was tasty (I'm not going to lie.) But the service was horrible. We asked for the cajun sauce on the side. He never stopped by our table. We also ordered 3-4 main dishes for our family. Usually when you go to a restaurant,...they would ask, "what would you like the side? salad? or french fries? or clam chowder?" But the manager didn't ask a thing and he just brought out, two small tiny cups of clam chowder (not to mention, we ordered a large sour dough bowl of clam chowder soup too.) When we asked give us salad on the side, not two small tiny cups of soup. His simple reply was "Then we would have to throw it away the soup." I think he knows that most of his customers are travelers who are just visiting. He would give crappy service. We ordered a family basket for 2, and he charged us a double amount since we had a family of 4. We specifically ordered "a family basket for 2." Never going back to thist place again. (The sour dough bowl was very tiny by the way. Nothing like the pic. shown. I expected a bigger opening and a bigger sourdough bread size.) I was upset he didn't ask for the salad when we first ordered. I know that the soup generally costs less than salad on their end. But he should have given us an option of a side salad, instead of giving us three soups. We ended up eating three chowder soup (two cups and a sourdough bowl) that day. If the manager provided a better quality service, our labor weekend trip to Seaside would have been wonderful.More

We stopped at the Crabby Oyster for lunch and were truly disappointed by our experience. We were a party of six and the only ones in the waiting area. There were plenty of tables open to accommodate us. There was lots of staff standing around,...so it wasn’t that they couldn’t handle serving us. We told the hostess we were a party of six for lunch. We were greeted by a blank stare with no response. After a couple of minutes of wondering if we were ever going to be acknowledged we decided to go to one of the other seafood restaurants. One that values it’s patrons. My advice is if the Crabby is on your list - - cross it off. Lots of other goods places to eat in SeasideMore

Poor food quality, cold, self-indulgent supposed manager. Boil was microwaved. Dried up and no flavor.

Pretty much a total fail on our take-out dinner. The clam linguine was a big disappointment - don't order if you're expecting something other than a bunch of steamed clams mixed with naked linguine noodles. We were sort of expecting some sort of sauce... anything?...The fish and chips might have been fine -- the cod pieces were generous and excellent -- but we had to perform a crust-ectomy because the breaded coating was so soggy with grease that it was reduced to mush on the underside. Kinda gross. And finally, totally blown orders. Whoever answered the phone clearly hadn't looked at their menu too often... or maybe whoever filled the order? Ranch dressing instead of tarter sauce and didn't get chips with the fish (weird!). Just kind of a train wreck, though probably just a reflection of the labor shortage these days, who knows?More

I had steamer claims, more than half were bone dry, and very old looking. The rest were full of sand and shell. I have never had claims with shell in them. I ate about 20% of them and quit , waitress asked how the food...was and I told her. I expected to have the claims price taken off the menu but no reduction in our bill-for an item I Love but could not eat. We will not be going back.More

I did most of my research on restaurants in Seaside prior to my recent trip, and I had pretty high expectations for my visit here. Service was quick and excellent. Food arrived hot and was pretty tasty. It was rainy and cold, a Tuesday afternoon,...so I was pretty much on my own in the dining room. My lunch order was an Oyster Po Boy and an order of onion rings. I was pretty hungry from the three-hour bus ride from Portland, well, almost three hours, so I wasn't too picky. a nice acid-y touch might have elevated the Po Boy, even a touch of slaw or greens with a balsamic drizzle, Onion rings tasted like a decent commercially-made brand and I always ask for Ranch Dressing to dip them as i eat. But I am used to hou8se-made beer-battered onion rings, so a small letdown here. Had considered trying for dinner one night, but there were so many great places to eat, it was really tough to pick just two-one for lunch and one for dinner.More

Order shrimp 🍤 bowl Cajun spice . Served a plate full of unseasoned shrimp, served a plate full of store bought set peeled shrimp. Save your money and go to Red Lobster or Joe’s Crab Shack

We maybe spoiled with quality seafood in our part of NW Washington, so traveling on the Oregon coast we wanted to try any and all the seafood meals we could. So we read the reviews and believed this restaurant to be one that we would...experience a quality dinner. The wife is in the mood for a crab louie, so asked what type of crab was on the salad, the waiter said the crab came from Alaska. Ok, is it dunginess, which is what we are accustomed to, no. Is it opelio (snow crab), no,, so I then asked is it king crab, surimi, no . Is it surimi, (imitation crab) he did not answer. So, we then ordered the crab boil which is pictured. The picture corn looks good, but the actual dinner is corn that was frozen and then heated thus mushy. The potatoes were raw sent them backj and returned after being thrown in the micro, still not cooked. The crab was cooked again as when a restaurant buys the crab it is already cooked, they cooked it again, eliminating the flavor and drying out the crab meat. A total failure and at $72.00 what more can be said. I have been in the Alaska seafood business for decades and this was a total messMore

Good clam chowder and really good tasting fish & chips. I had the halibut, spouse had the cod. Not greasy and good tartar sauce. Staff friendly. Tracey was attentive and had good suggestions.

It’s in the details folks and the details are missed here today. Uninspired drink with aged celery topper. Undercooked calamari. Coleslaw with zero flavor. Overcooked and under seasoned burger. Wanted to much to like it. Staff was nice but an owner should get in here...and eat. Very unfortunate.More

Fish and chips was tasty but clam chowder was luke warm almost cold. The chicken tenders were overdone and steamer clams were very tiny! Too expensive for what you get. The wait staff was very friendly.
