We ordered a Bloody Mary fish tacos and calamari, the Bloody Mary was a meal in itself. And one of the best I’ve ever had. The fish tacos were amazing. And my son couldn’t get enough calamari. The food was served quick and the staff was awesome. Will definitely come here again.

We enjoyed the ocean and we indulged in a very good bread bowl with clam chowder. The restaurant was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped for seating. Great food and a great atmosphere.

Blood Mary’s and chowder.

The Big Kahuna never disappoints. The Bloody Mary’s are amazing and you haven’t had chowder until you’ve had it here with the beer bread.

Terrible Service

We went to this restaurant for Lunch we had a larger party During the pandemic. We knew that we would have to sit at different tables. Not a huge deal at all for us. The Owner refused to seat us so we left. The other 1/2 of our party got there after we left however got to stay. The staff was rude to them the entire time as if we were a problem for even being there. The staff was rude the entire time Not to just our party but to everyone who came in.

Stopped in for drinks

Horrible service and terrible place to go. Will never go back. As we entered the waitress asked if we had drank anywhere else. We said yes and they told us to leave. Very nerdy rude. We never even sat down

Went for drinks and appetizers. Its a small cute place inside and a little hidden from the street. The Bloody Mary was delicious. They even had supreme ones with burgers and shrimp. We got the appetizer sampler and it was pretty good and we got it 1/2 price. I got an oyster shooter for $2 and it wasn’t bad for the first time trying it. We also got Jell-O shots for a $1. Overall it was a fun place to hangout

We popped in for a drink. The staff and service were good and the atmosphere nice. The menu didn’t appeal to us but it’s a good bar to hang out in.

Very unprofessional management

My husband and I were walking by this restaurant and decided to stop real quick for an oyster shooter; we had our dog with us so I sat down at a table right outside the door while my husband went in to order his oyster shooter. Because I was right at the open door, I asked him/and bartender standing right there also to get two beers. After my husband returned with the beers and his 1 oyster shooter, he proceeded to sit down and I even took a selfie to send to my mom because I was so excited about our new found fun restaurant. That is when we were approached by the bartender and were told we needed to be seated at a table behind the gate that was folded up against the wall......there were 2 tables in that area, which were all full with a couple families eating. He instructed us to go ask the last family if we could join them. We felt very uncomfortable about it, but really saw no other choice since we just ordered and now were just standing there awkwardly with no place to sit and a cocker spaniel in tow. The family actually tried to be somewhat accommodating when we approached and as we were going to sit down this large dog came out from under their table and attacked our cocker spaniel. At this point we knew we needed to leave, so I dumped the beer from my bottle into the to go cup I had in my hand and thought let’s just get back to our hotel room down the block, That is when a manager came out screaming at us to get back to that table....I was like “NOOO....there is a dog fight about to happen here.” He stepped in front of my husband and immediately said he was going to call the police. I was in shock at the scene They served us beer at a table they knew was not in there “drinking section”. Then, they instructed us to ask strangers to join them because they had no other tables in the “drinking section” available (only 2 that were filled with couples and their kids) and our dog is attacked. Now, they are calling the police......WTF? Furthermore, there was never a sign posted declaring a specific “drinking section” nor did the bartender say I couldn’t drink a beer at the table I was sitting at when I ordered it from it. Side note: We live in a state that has ‘open container’ laws, so I didn’t realize pouring my beer into my to go cup with a lid was an issue to walk back to the hotel. Needless to say, I dumped out my beer in the plant and left.....most often asked ? When I tell people this story.....Did the Kahuna restaurant offer to refund you for the beers you never took a drink off since they served it to you in a place they knew you couldn’t drink it and then had no other options for seating? No. They did not! I really felt sorry for the children at those 2 tables that had to witness such hostility from the management or I would have asked for my money back.

Fantastic Staff, Fun Energy,

We planned to come here once & ended up back here 2 more times over our weekend trip to Seaside. The people are fun & friendly, & the food is tasty & well made, & the drinks are generously poured. Fresh seafood, the best breading for anything fried, & yes the Bloody Mary's are great - Order one with an extra skewer of prawns & olives & it's practically lunch!

We came at lunch time. Chowder & beer bread was great, hubby had a noodle dish he said was pretty average. The service was awesome though, so we have nothing negative to say. Thank you!
