We walked in on a Thursday evening and we’re promptly seated. The restaurant wasn’t very busy. The waitress was very prompt in taking our drink, then food order. Three in our party had the clam chowder and said it was very good. I had the...cod fish & chips and was more than disappointed. When I have fish & chips I compare it to what one gets in the United Kingdom. This was no comparison. Rather than being a filet, freshly battered and fried on-site, it was fish pieces all about the same size with panko breading. My guess is it is made in a factory and shipped ready to cook like the fish sticks one buys in a grocery store. It does have a military discount. What I really liked was the restaurant uses the hand held machines so credit card payments can be made at the table. One never loses sight of their credit card like in most restaurants.More

This was very good clam chowder for a place not on the East Coast. The shrimp sandwich was also good, and we liked the local beers on offer.

This was right on the beach with a very good view of the ocean. We just got clam chowder and garlic bread and it didn’t disappoint!

Went to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday. We all ordered the cod fish and chips. Not a good choice. Fish was overcooked and dry. Fries and chowder were excellent. Service was also excellent. We didn't read the menu close enough and should have spent the extra...$$$ to get the beer battered halibut. If we ever go again we will order the halibut for the extra $$$. Not a very satisfying experience. We are local.More

Hi Dave, Please reach out to me at npc@ilovemoschowder.com I would love the chance to talk in more detail about your time at Mo's

We stopped here for dinner. Mo's is right on the beach. We were shown to a table next to the big windows. Outside, a couple of guys were creating huge bubbles that glistened in the setting sun. It was surreal. The seating is unusual in...that it's benches rather than seats. It was noisy as it was pretty crowded, and the music didn't help any. Otherwise, it was a good experience. Our server, Kaylie? was cheerful and helpful. I ordered the grilled cod and because I didn't want fries or the rice they had on offer (oh dear, it had cilantro and lime in it, seriously?) Cilantro is hideous) so instead I had two salads, both with tiny shrimps on it. Those salads were huge. The cod was fairly good sized, too. Even though I had no room, I ordered the marionberry cobbler to go. It was very good. We didn't have time to spend in Seaside, and there were lots of other places to eat, so I don't know if and when I'll ever go to Mo's again. My husband had the halibut and proclaimed it good. His fries were not too salty.More

I went here because of the location. It was very convenient. The food was good but very greasy. I had Halibut fish n chips and clam chowder. The price for the clam chowder is ridiculously high. Also, I bought some salt water taffy that they...had at the front counter. I think it was several years old.More

My family had been seated and we sat there for 30 minutes with no service, not even a look towards us. We saw someone ask the manager for water, she got it for them while rolling her eyes as she walked away from the couples...table. Finally after telling my husband we should just leave, my mother in law stood up and walked up to the manager and said we had been sitting there for 30 minutes with no help and saw two other couples get served who got seated 5 minutes ago! I have been going to Mo's since I was a kid. This was the WORST Mo's I have been to and I will never go back there again. Oh and we ended up walking out because the manager wanted to argue with my mother in law. Not gonna happen, Bye Bye!More

We were seated with a view of the promenade, which made this feel like a very local experience even though it was a chain. Shrimp skewers and fried fish plates were fine, nothing exceptional. Cheerful atmosphere that fit with a beach scene.

This was the second time visiting a Mo's. First time in one of the Newport locations years ago. The one in Seaside is more of a sit down place. I was greeted right away by the friendly hostess and got a table with a nice...view of the ocean. The server was great too. As with the first time, I went with clam chowder in a bread bowl. Makes for a great lunch. Dining room is very nice and clean. There are outdoor tables too. Mo's makes for a great meal, no matter which location you choose.More

My wife and I went for lunch while we visited Seaside for the day. She had their “famous” clam chowder and found it to be wonderful. I had fish and chips which was likewise very good. The location allowed us a clear view of the...beach and ocean which added to the experience. The restaurant itself was pretty basic with simple tables but we enjoyed the atmosphere.More

We were left unimpressed with Mo’s despite the hype that it was the best fish-n-chips in Seaside. The good: the clam chowder was delicious. We would come back to try it in the sourdough bread bowl. The OK: fries were average The bad: fish pieces...were small and thin. About half the size as expected. Taste was average.More

Chowder in bread bowl was good. Rest of food was just average. Tables on patio were good but inside was loud and hectic.

Great view and it's nice that they allow dogs on the patio. Two couples had different entrees, all of them mediocre. The grilled shrimp were fine - not overdone - so if I ever went back, that's probably what I would order.

We went to Mo's on our first night in Seaside as it was just across from where we were staying. We both ordered halibut and fries with a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder tasted a bit like it was made with artificial bacon...bits, but it was not bad otherwise. The halibut was great and the fries were nice and crispy. My one big complaint is that I don't know how you would access the resort if you were disabled. They may have had a ramp, but I didn't see it. They have an outdoor patio with heaters and people were eating out there comfortably even though it was raining lightly and coolish. Doggies were welcome on the patio.More
