The atmosphere is nice and so was our waitress. The food was awful. We had clams which had a bite of sand in every one. A burger and fries, the fries had a burnt taste to them. Also had the crab fettuccine and when it...was served the butter had already separated from the cream. There was one server that seemed to be off a bit. I noticed his tables were annoyed, griping a bit at him and one just got up and walked out. I waitresses through college and it’s all I could do from just jumping up and taking over. Anyhow huge regret going there.More

Had a delightful dinner there our first night in town and went back for clam chowder and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc the next night. Our wait person, Anita and the owner, Maggie both suggested places to visit here. Everyone was friendly and helpfulI. I...highly recommend this restaurant.More

We had the most elegant salmon dinner at Maggie's . The entire meal from salad to dessert made our birthday celebration. It is a gem on the promenade so make reservations and they will provide you with a wonderful meal

I arrived late afternoon in Seaside and did not know any of the restaurants, so I researched a bit. Came across this gem and my first thought was "hmm, I'm not really in the mood for "country" type cooking. Looked at a bunch of other...restaurants and nothing really caught my eye, so I ended up on Maggie's listing again and looked at the menu. I immediately noticed the Braised Pork Cheeks and those are one of my favorite items, so I decided to go. What a delight! Food was delicious. The grits was the best I've ever eaten. Buttery and gooey. Yum. The only small suggestion: I would not pair this dish with a super strong winter green vegetable like kale, because the taste of that vegetable overpowered the Pork Cheeks. Other than that, it was stellar.More

This restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the Seaside Oceanfront Inn. We actually obtained the last table without a reservation the other night and were served by Richard, who made our meal all the better with his great customer service and recommendations. Great...food, really nice atmosphere and you can access it from the Prom or Inn. There is a patio that is open on nicer days but this day was not one of them. They serve lunch and dinner so no breakfast at this time but I imagine that could change any time. Thank you for a wonderful meal.More

We had an excellent dinner and lovely sunset show on a Friday evening. The salmon entree was delicious with purple sweet potato purée, a tomato siracha topping and sautéed kale. My husband had mushrooms with these interesting air fried rice balls. I can’t remember the...official name. Salads with frisée, dried cranberries, pipetas, finely grated cheese and a nice vinaigrette dressing were tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back when in Seaside again.More

Good food & atmosphere. It was a chilly, but clear night for dining on the patio. Easy walk down the prom. The best part I brought my 3 dachshunds with me. The owner was so accommodating. I asked her if it was too cold to...serve us outside, her answer "if you can do it, so can I".More

It was a standard dining experience. We needed seating outside and had to wait 20-25 to be seated. During this time, the tables just sat empty. Not sure why the process took so long. They did state that they were overwhelmed because there was a...party of 10-12 people also seated outside. Separate from this, we ordered soup, sandwiches, and burgers. All tasted standard.More

Three of us had lunch at Maggie's on Friday, July 16th, 2021. The cup of clam chowder was barely half full, tasteless and not a pat of butter to float on top insight. Two of us had the halibut fish and chips (for $25 each)...The halibut portions were small, greasy and dark from using (I suspect) a VERY dirty fryer. The chips , too, were horrible: greasy, dark and tasteless. The coleslaw served with the food accounted to about a tablespoon of slaw. If I had not been with friends, I would have sent my food back. The serve person was pleasant, but stretched way too thin over too many tables. We had to literally flag her down to get another glass of wine. The bread was served with no butter. I could go on, but bottom line, for $180 for lunch for three, I expect to enjoy the food. Go to Burgerville for their Halibut Fish and chips. Or somewhere else for half the price and better food.More

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a lunch spot. We entered from the promonode and we were seated outside right away. The wait staff was excellent. The waiter even brought me a cup of hot water when my baby dropped...her binki on the floor. The food was the best we had had in Seaside. We had high quality calamari, not the over-battered rubber that you get at the other seafood restaurants on the main street. Everything tasted fresh and was made with quality ingredients. We will come here again.More

We were lucky that Maggie's reopened a few days before our visit to Seaside. Since they aren't taking reservations, we went early and were lucky to get seated outside right away. And, were fortunate to be able to move inside when the temps got cooler....Drinks, dinner and dessert were delicious. We wished the steamer clams came with more bread so we could soak up the rest of the sauce/liquid... it was that good. (I'm sure we could've asked for more bread, but we did want to also save room for dinner). They were out of the tapioca crusted halibut, which sounded delicious. We had the spring Chinook and the black cod and enjoyed the fish, the veggies, etc. (Seriously, we both completely cleaned our plates!) Dessert was a rhubarb upside down cake which was heavenly. Maria's service was great, and her menu help was much appreciated. We'll definitely eat here on future trips to Seaside.More

This place is akin to visiting the "Soup Guy" in Seinfeld. The food was delish but the service was terrible which really tainted our experience. When the service issue was brought out to the person in charge (the head chef) he came and apologize and...seem remorseful for his staff behavior, however as soon as he left our table the waitress came back and told us "you are lucky my manager isn't here, she would had kicked you out of our restaurant" That left us speechless! Needless to say we didn't tip that waitress. Definitely will no go back and will review in a couple other platforms so people are aware.More

I took my daughter to Maggie’s on the prom in Seaside for a birthday dinner and had the WORST dining experience I have ever had in my life. After waiting for nearly an hour for a table, we ordered a bowl of crab Mac and...cheese which was $28 and I told the waitress when we ordered that we decided to split it and then the unbelievable happened ... the waitress set the dish down without saying a word and I picked up the bowl and quickly set it down, my hand literally stuck to the bowl and was incredibly burned. I was shocked and flabbergasted that our server had not told me that the bowl would be served at 450 degrees right out of the oven and to be careful not to touch it.She didn’t get burned because she carried it on another plate when serving and set it down and didn't say a word about it being scalding hot. I sat there in silence trying not to make a scene but I did tell the server that I was burned and I thought it would be dealt with ...well, the server did apologize but what happened next was shocking... I tried to remain calm and held an ice glass with my burned hand the entire time we sat there, while trying to eat and I waited for the owner (Sadie Mercer) to come over and offer some sort of apology or address what had happened. Her husband, who was the chef and co-owner, was nearby chatting with a young gal and didn't bother coming over at all (no doubt that he had been told what had happened but apparently couldn't have cared less) so he avoided our table. When the wife/owner finally bothered to come over after 15 minutes of waiting, rather than showing any remorse or issuing an apology or offering to comp our meal, she started right off with a defensive posture , marching up to our table and got confrontational with me, taunting me and was completely rude, saying “ If you think your burn is so bad, why don't you go to the hospital and get a bill?” Her behavior was completely out of line and beyond comprehensible. I couldn't believe that this was the owner! I thought are you kidding me? She kept goading me and coming back to the table being confrontational and told me to leave because she refused to accept any responsibility or issue an apology or refund. She was mad that I had spoken to the staff about her horrible behavior. She didn’t want to do anything else and wanted us out of there. She actually said “you ate half the dish so what do you expect me to do? I’ll only take 50% off because you ate some and there was nothing wrong with it” she acted so terribly that the servers where ashamed and said so. My hand was blistered and severely burned and this is the treatment I got from an OWNER of this restaurant. After speaking with a few locals about the situation, they said she had a horrible reputation. How are they still in business I wonder? Avoid this place like the plague! And the food was terrible.. $28 for a dried up small bowl of mac n cheese with a 1/4 cup of crab thrown in.. I FEEL I GOT BURNED TWICE!More
