This place is akin to visiting the "Soup Guy" in Seinfeld. The food was delish but the service was terrible which really tainted our experience. When the service issue was brought out to the person in charge (the head chef) he came and apologize and...seem remorseful for his staff behavior, however as soon as he left our table the waitress came back and told us "you are lucky my manager isn't here, she would had kicked you out of our restaurant" That left us speechless! Needless to say we didn't tip that waitress. Definitely will no go back and will review in a couple other platforms so people are aware.More

I took my daughter to Maggie’s on the prom in Seaside for a birthday dinner and had the WORST dining experience I have ever had in my life. After waiting for nearly an hour for a table, we ordered a bowl of crab Mac and...cheese which was $28 and I told the waitress when we ordered that we decided to split it and then the unbelievable happened ... the waitress set the dish down without saying a word and I picked up the bowl and quickly set it down, my hand literally stuck to the bowl and was incredibly burned. I was shocked and flabbergasted that our server had not told me that the bowl would be served at 450 degrees right out of the oven and to be careful not to touch it.She didn’t get burned because she carried it on another plate when serving and set it down and didn't say a word about it being scalding hot. I sat there in silence trying not to make a scene but I did tell the server that I was burned and I thought it would be dealt with ...well, the server did apologize but what happened next was shocking... I tried to remain calm and held an ice glass with my burned hand the entire time we sat there, while trying to eat and I waited for the owner (Sadie Mercer) to come over and offer some sort of apology or address what had happened. Her husband, who was the chef and co-owner, was nearby chatting with a young gal and didn't bother coming over at all (no doubt that he had been told what had happened but apparently couldn't have cared less) so he avoided our table. When the wife/owner finally bothered to come over after 15 minutes of waiting, rather than showing any remorse or issuing an apology or offering to comp our meal, she started right off with a defensive posture , marching up to our table and got confrontational with me, taunting me and was completely rude, saying “ If you think your burn is so bad, why don't you go to the hospital and get a bill?” Her behavior was completely out of line and beyond comprehensible. I couldn't believe that this was the owner! I thought are you kidding me? She kept goading me and coming back to the table being confrontational and told me to leave because she refused to accept any responsibility or issue an apology or refund. She was mad that I had spoken to the staff about her horrible behavior. She didn’t want to do anything else and wanted us out of there. She actually said “you ate half the dish so what do you expect me to do? I’ll only take 50% off because you ate some and there was nothing wrong with it” she acted so terribly that the servers where ashamed and said so. My hand was blistered and severely burned and this is the treatment I got from an OWNER of this restaurant. After speaking with a few locals about the situation, they said she had a horrible reputation. How are they still in business I wonder? Avoid this place like the plague! And the food was terrible.. $28 for a dried up small bowl of mac n cheese with a 1/4 cup of crab thrown in.. I FEEL I GOT BURNED TWICE!More

Pretty good meal. 3 course meal. Salad, steak and dessert. The salad dressing came on the salad although I did not taste any. Steak was great. Dessert was good although hazelnuts are not one of my favorite nuts.

We visited Seaside for our 10th anniversary. As I often do (and my lovely wife puts up with) I had a snack around 3 pm - realizing dinner was hours off yet. So, we stopped at BellBuoy - and had fried oysters. Why is this...relevant??? Because, for dinner I had Fried Willapa Bay Oysters - 6 Willapa Bay oysters, rice flour buttermilk batter, parsley sauce, lemon - at Maggie's on the prom. What the menu listing failed to admit was that the oysters were coated in an even 1/8 inch of solid crust. OK, the crust wasn't bad - but gads, we are talking almost as much crust as oyster. That's why I mentioned Bell Buoy - gads, those were good oysters. I also had the steamers at Maggies - perfection. Hence the 4 rating. If I'd just had the oysters - well, let's say it would not have gotten the 4. We also had their sauteed mushroom appetizer - very nice - went well with the nice whole-grain bread. So, not a bad place, just stay away from the battered to death oysters!More

Maggie's is always wonderful. And in my humble opinion, they have the best clam chowder on the coast, with clams that are not rubbery, in a flavorful, buttery broth. If you want to get away from fast food and so-so chain places, this is a...nice, quite spot with views of the ocean, and a place to sit outside.More

Beef tartare starter and clam chowder were pretty good. Mains were overpriced. Dungeness crab Mac & cheese was ok, crab was past its prime. The beef ragu over rigatoni was ok.

Great good. Nice sunset dining. Good wine list. Smoked steelhead trout was delicious as was the clam chowder. Cup of clam chowder is very generous.

Our server, Amanda, was great. We stopped by for lunch after a walk on the promenade. Lunch was a simple shared Tuna Melt and two brews. The Tuna Melt was unimpressive...just thought they'd rock it.

Ate there twice now, the entrees leave much to be desired, especially for the price. Great dessert menu though. Would go back for drinks and dessert.

It's a good place to watch sunset (take some blankets). We had some wine. I would say I had better wine before, but that's ok. Also I've tried clam chowder (it's ok too).
