The service was ok-ish but when you put a BLT on your menu and the description reads "A PILE OF BACON!" and it comes out with a total of 3 pieces of bacon broken in halves and not even enough to cover the rather dry,...nasty bread. I won't be back. Mentioned it to the server and her reaction was "oh the cook must have forgot."More

Surprisingly delightful. We weren’t sure what to expect, hardly anyone there for lunch... until we discovered their upstairs dining. The waitress was very helpful in helping us decide. I was thrilled with my Apple, Bacon, Cheese grilled sandwich with crispy tots. My friend enjoyed her...BLT & Fries. Everything was fresh. Service was excellent. Clean & friendly, I would recommend.More

Best Brunch in Salem Oregon and love their new location downtown. Brown's Towne Lounge reopened in their new location at 145 Liberty St. NE, Salem. The storefront was previously occupied by Alsham Mediterranean Restaurant, which closed earlier this year. Brown's is a bar, but also...as a restaurant (for the 21 and older set) known for its burgers, brunches, and bloody marys. My favorite weekend spot for brunch with friends.More

The service here wasn’t very good and the food was just average. I think this place is meant more for drinks than food.

Consistently good soup and sandwiches, salads, and service. Especially popular in the evening with craft beers and entertainment on weekends.

The service was excellent and the food was good. I liked that everyone seemed to know each other...kind of like a Cheers, but in Salem. :)

If you are tired of all the trendy, overcrowded and overpriced restaurants downtown, you need to give this place a try. The beer selection is great, the food is really good, the prices are reasonable and the service is fast.

I was in town for a few days visiting friends and staying at the hotel down the street. It was suggested by a friend that we meet up here to have some beer, and did we ever. The most surprising part of it all was...the bill, wow, coming from Sweden who knew one could drink copious amounts for so little :) The beer menu is spectacular, the staff super cool. The food, well what do you expect from a bar, gourmet it is not, but when you are drinking the finest ales from Oregon and the world, who cares!More

Probably best known as a place for students to hang out on weekends, Browns was open for a Sunday brunch when we were in town, and we enjoyed a delightful meal at a reasonable price with friendly, capable service. A lucky find we're glad to...recommend!More
