Sassy Onion suffered fire damage a few months ago and has been closed for remodeling. During this interim, employees were paid to volunteer in the community and this impressed us deeply! During their "Re-Opening Days": we stopped in for breakfast. With a new menu, seating, entry, and kitchen, it is still a great place to be for breakfast or lunch.... More

I have had wonderful breakfast meals here. I tried this two different times for lunch before writing a review, hoping the second time would be better than the first. I was disappointed both times. The lunch items are just not that special, though they were good enough to be average (not a bad rating by the way). The first time... More

Went for lunch with several out-of-towners. We chose this restaurant because of its good reputation. The entry is shabby, with a bunch of drink bottles in the display case. (Weird) Our companions ordered soup and salad combo (which wasn't on the menu) and received a cup of soup and a tiny handful of salad with a minuscule piece of bread.... More

With four people in our party, early on a Sunday morning we had: meat lovers burrito, chicken fried steak and eggs, the blintze (spelling?) and the daily special. All four meals were hot, made with fresh and tasty ingredients and served by a waitress who was alert, attentive and engaging. This place is quickly becoming one of our favorited dining... More

Convenient location , plenty of street parking and good service. Atmosphere reminds me of a place near a university. Menu is overwhelming with enticing choices. Unfortunately what ended up on our table wasn't half as good as it sounded. The bed of squash and sausage was lukewarm with hot poached eggs on top.. Perhaps if it was ALL hot it... More

We have been to Sassy Onion for the past several months for breakfast and lunch. They have consistently served wonderful food and given outstanding service. We have had Katrina and Samantha as our servers and they have been delightful and made sure that our orders were done right. My husband has had their corncakes and farmer's breakfast and loved them.... More

Homemade ingredients and breads makes their stuffed French toast up to 5" tall. The California omelet was delicious. Great menu selection with a refreshing twist on the classics. Good size portions means you will leave full and satisfied. There is a full coffee espresso bar for all the usual varieties of coffee creations. It is good sized single story floor... More

Nice little place for breakfast. The Captain's Stack is my favorite, the food is very flavorful. Sometimes, there can be a bit of a wait. I like that they leave a thermos of coffee on the table.

Sassy Onion lives up to its great reviews on Yelp. The portions are enormous and the quality of ingredients is home style and organic. We had the corn beef hash and the eggs with bacon and toast and they were outstanding. Sassy has lot's of street parking available and FREE coffee while you wait for your table (this place is... Our family celebrated a grand-daughter's passing her RN exam with a breakfast at a place of her choosing. Although I had never eaten here before, www.sassyonion.com was a helpful introduction to what could be expected. While Breakfast is served from 6-11 am, Lunch is on from 11-3pm. Omelettes, Burritos, fabulous French Toast, Pancakes, Crepes, Burgers, Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps comprise... More
