We've been to WOM before and loved it. We're on a winter break from AK and as we pass thru Salem, we always try/stop at WOM. This year we hit a 2:45 wait. We weren't going to wait. The hostess was incredibly nice & polite. We asked for another good Salem option and she quickly offered up Sassy Onion. It... More

Always busy because: 1. Food was fantastic! 2. Service was fast, friendly, and fantastic! 3. Décor and layout SO COOL! ... well, you get the point. Just go. If there's a wait, then wait. It's worth it.

This is the best place to eat in Salem Oregon. The wait is long, but so worth it. Go there for breakfast or lunch, you can thank me later. The End.

This place is incredible. I keep thinking I'll order something different but can't get past ordering the créme brulee French toast. It's delicious. The only drawback is the long wait to get a table. Servers, atmosphere and food have been wonderful each time we've visited.

If you want good food for breakfast or lunch this is the place for it. The service is great as well as the food. The only down size (maybe a plus) is that it is small. So if you don't mind waiting a bit ---- go for it,

I lived in WA, FL, OK, CO, GA, NC, TX and Portland before coming to Salem. I have never in my short 45 years experienced the freaky amazingness that is Word of Mouth. Not only do they have experimental dishes you never heard of before, they are all done top notch. This place doesn't know how to serve bad food.I... More

We love WOM and try to go once or twice a month. The food is worth the wait that can sometimes be 45 minutes. It's a very small bistro in an old historical house that adds to their charm. The owner decorates with wonderful antique fixtures and even have lotions to put on after washing your hands on the restroom.... More

My husband and I decided to give them a try because I had heard nothing but good things. We were a little shocked to hear that we would have an hour and 40 minute wait to eat. We decided to wait it out as we had nothing else planned for the day but we were starving by the time we... More
