Roseburg is limited on restaurants, let alone finding a good one, and one that is Japanese - this one is it-! I had lunch with friends. Service is prompt, waitresses pleasant, and our meals were excellent: sushi and tempura. They also have another location in Medford and I was going to dine there too, but it was closed briefly during... More

The sushi rolls are not tightly packed, and they are way too big to get a piece in your mouth all at once. They can't be cut in half either. Eating them with chopstick like normal was impossible. We had to just eat a pile of rice and fillings with a fork. It was tasty though. The waitress was very... More

This unassuming little place really surprised me. I was driving North on I-5 headed to Seattle for a business meeting and found this town on Google maps that I would be driving through near lunch time. I can't believe how fresh the Sashimi was and how large the portions were. I've never had to bite them in half before. The... More

It's not a fancy restaurant, it's a nice, comfortable, homey small-town place, the portions are large and prepared well, prices are reasonable. I'm going back.

Everything you heard about Ami Sushi is true. The sushi roles are huge. Compare them to mini bread loaves or baby’s chubby arms, or whatever best suits the story you’ll share with out-of-town friends who might be circumspect of eating sushi in Roseburg. A Korean family has operated Ami Sushi for more than a decade. In addition to sushi, Ami... More

We elected to have take out. We ordered the 911 roll with the eel sauce on the side. Excellent. Also started with some gyoza that were nice and crispy.

The last 3-4 times I've eaten at Ami Sushi have been terrible with Thursday, 2/11/2016 being the worst. This had been a good place to go but now the food is horrible that seems to be worse every time with very, very, very subpar customer service and owners who don't care. I don't make scenes in public but I will... More

weve avoided trying this place for years simply because roseburg is a little too far from the ocean for really fresh sushi... but we heard some good things and decided to try it. at first we were favorably impressed with the decor and the menu- excited to see some korean food options! but our waitress was just awful. i mean,... Everything was fresh and well prepared. The rolls were huge! Definitely interesting but not sure I would like my rolls that large all the time. It made it difficult to get a taste of everything at once. Worth the visit, we will be back. Service was a bit lacking but not bad.
