Stopped for breakfast while staying in Rockaway. Not my first choice, but not a lot was open at that time of the morning. There were only a few other customers, so we were greeted right away. The food came quickly. I really really needed a...More
Read a few reviews before deciding to have breakfast there. Sounded OK, and there aren’t many options in town on a Tuesday. One review noted that you aren’t greeted at the door, not even with a sign, and that is correct. We saw one open...More
Service was very slow. One family of 5 walked out because no one served them and they sat there for 10 minutes. The food was okay but not great. The restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch. I’m not going to hurry back.
Everyone enjoyed their food

Nicely made burgers, eggs, omelets, pancakes served up by a friendly and attentive staff. There used to be many mom-and-pop cafes, but they are rare now. If you want to visit the past -- or the future -- stop in at the Cow Belle.
I'll be honest, we stopped there as it was the first breakfast stop in walking distance from where we were staying. However, I'm glad we did. Even though it was Memorial Day and the restaurant had more patrons that normal, the staff was very attentive...More
