We went here after a day off roading on dunes. They didn't care that we weren't dressed up. Place is filled with antiques and Mexican art. Food was really good! I have eaten in Mexico and all over US Mexican. So I know. Drink was...good, Kids loved the place. Good prices too.More

Food was good, and the service is good. Has a full bar. My wife had the chili relleno and I had a chicken chimichanga and ground beef enchiladas combination plate. Plates came with rice and beans. Warm Tortllia chips with a "hot" and "Mild" salsa....Chips were warm and fresh. The "hot" salsa was medium spicy and good. The "Mild" salsa was OK, but had a strong tomato after taste. Chimichanga are deep fried burritos. Mine was really just a burrito. I liked the plate but wasn't exactly what I ordered. In my opinion the prices are a little on the high midrange side. Has clean bathrooms. Nice decore and our waiter was friendly Will come back again.More

I always try to stick to my low carb/keto diet while dining out but decided to add a few extra carbs to my diet for dinner today. I ordered La Costa Loca which had bacon-wrapped prawns on a bed of bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms...along with a seafood-stuffed enchilada. Beans and rice included (note: next time I will stick to my diet and ask for salad or coleslaw in place of the beans and rice). This dish is freaking EXCELLENT!! If you are a gringa like me, ask for no sauce on the enchilada. Otherwise...go for it!!More

Well there was a restaurant in Florence but we were going in the opposite direction and by the time we saw it, it was too late to make a U-turn. Literally from there to Coos Bay there were no restaurants…in Reedsport, we decided to try...Aztlan for some Mexican food. It is a real joint. With wood plank ceilings, wood and stucco walls, red carpet, green Formica top wood table and chairs. The place is filled with paraphernalia, junk and plants….it’s interesting. So was the 1 waiter, who greeted & sat us… The chips and salsa we’re good - 2 choices of salsa, one medium and one very spicy, hot corn chips. They have liquor and beer and soft drinks…the first three questions we asked the waiter were answered NO! Can the chimichanga be made with corn instead of flour tortillas? No….Can I have pork enchiladas. ‘No it is too hard to make’. Can I have a couple pieces of shredded lettuce with my Enchilada? ‘No lettuce costs $2 a side’. Well, once we got past that… we ordered one cheese plate [with beans and rice…lots of cheese too] and 1 chicken enchilada plate [one with green sauce and one with red sauce, which with the salsa mixed in gave me a very nice flavor…chicken was good, cheese better… The food was good. The service was not. Two enchiladas on a plate with cheese rice and beans, $12.95.More

We had no idea where to go for dinner, so popped into Aztlan and was pleasantly surprised. Food was good, and recommend this as a stop to eat.

I visited on 5/25 for lunch. The parking is good. The place is clean. The menu is quite sizeable. 8 pages in all is a lot to choose from. The meal came out very quickly and tasted very good. The staff was nice too. I...was a little put off by the fact that my credit card didn't work. The slip did not say refused or rejected. It said Not Completed. I don't know what that's all about. The card is good. Anyway, better bring cash just in case. (Good thing I did.)More

I am giving three stars only because the service was good. The food was 'ok', but service was a bit fast? Ordered at 4:28 served at 4:36 a grand total of eight minutes? I don't like to think my food was nuked... My ice tea...was total yuck and very old. Interesting assortment of collectibles spread out throughout the very cluttered interior. The table was 'mostly clean' but the rest was questionable including the bathroom which was not pleasant. The floor should have been spotless at this hour and it was just covered in food literally. We won't be going back.More

Excellent service; the lady who took our order was friendly and attentive, kept our drinks refilled, and brought us the extra tortillas we requested; all I ever expect. We got in just before the dinner crowd, and started off with the best tasting chips and...salsa I've had in awhile. We each decided on the steak and chicken combo fajitas; they were steaming hot, very flavorful and with the large plate of rice, refried beans and guacamole they arrived with, we could barely finish it all (we were 'starving' when we arrived, and stuffed when we left). Good atmosphere, and even better food; we'll definitely come back again and again!More

Last night of Labor Day Weekend vacation in Reedsport area and our first visit to Aztlan Mexican Restaurant. We were initially concerned about neglected picnic tables out front but were more comfortable upon entry. Greeted by young courteous "Angel" and served by veteran server "Elvia"...who was warm, professional and very likable. Food was generous and delicious, we'll hopefully return.More

The owners of this restaurant are from Mexico and they brought authentic Mexican recipes with them when the established this restaurant about 25 years ago. I tried the other 'Mexican' restaurant in town and was not impressed with the cuisine...not sure what area of Mexico...theirs comes from but it's not nearly as pleasing to my palate as Aztlan. I especially appreciate that I can order food that is diabetic/low carb easily and it's always the best!More
