Went in at 12:30 on a Sunday. Got seated promptly, within a couple of minutes the server took our orders and brought our drinks. Waited 90 minutes for food (two burgers, tuna melt, chicken strip basket). The kitchen seemed to be having a lot of problems. The cook would put one plate at a time on the shelf to be... More

We decided to come here after having had good meals at the Black Bear in Grants Pass. This was totally opposite. We waited about 15 minutes to even be recognized as waiting and then were seated. There was about 15-20 staff members floating about. The place was full when we got there, so we were lucky to get a table.... More

We stopped in for lunch right at 12:30 and was surprised to see that the place was half empty. We were greeted & seated promptly. The waitress came by and within 10 minutes we had ordered. And then we waited. To amuse myself after 30 minutes we started listening to the conversations between the waitresses and the chef. We noticed... More

The Black Bear is my breakfast favorite in Redmond. The eggs are done right, the link sausages is very good and the omelets are fine. With toast or biscuit and fruit cup or hashed browns. All the condiments for coffee and food are already on the table. "Real Tabasco" available on request. For lunch the sandwiches are good and the... More

We stopped there for breakfast and were very happy with our choice: there were plenty of options, including vegetarian ones in every category. The food was very tasty, the portions very reasonable. The place itself was very atmospheric: we spent the little time we had to wait for our food to arrive looking at all the amazing decor.

This is the second Black Bear I've eaten at. Did breakfast this time and it was really good. I prefer not to eat at chains restaurants but my friend took me out and this was her choice. Big breakfast hit the spot, service was excellent and I didn't have to pay.

I have been waiting over an HOUR for my food! Not crowded, 10 other tables. Another waitress came by our table and said "you guys get your ticket?" I told her "we haven't gotten our Food yet!" Completely unacceptable! It's now at 1 hour and 13 minutes of waiting! Not waitress fault, cooks can't seem to get any food out!

My wife suggest we go to the Black Bear Diner in Redmond for breakfast and it was very good. We both had the little less versions of our meals and it was plenty of food. Service started a little slow but improved once the server knew we were in his section. I don't think you can go wrong by visiting... More

Black Bear Diners are a large Western chain. They are usually just off the highway and offer the same basic menu. If you are a traveler looking for a sit down meal, this won't take too much time and give you a place to stretch your legs. The food and service are okay, but this is not fine dining. The... More
