Went here as a recommendation from locals. Very impressed with it. We waited 30 minutes, and so worth the wait. This is a local and unique place. Southern and cajun food. One of their specialties - fried chicken - no bones in the chicken - filled chicken and incredible fried batter. HUGE portions. Kind of a hole in the wall,... More

I normally will not queue for a restaurant, but this restaurant had been recommended to us, so we decided to wait. We went on a Wednesday morning about 10:30 and there was a queue. We were told it would be about twenty minutes wait and that was fairly accurate. We had the shrimp with grits and a biscuit and also... More

I had the special, seared tuna with a salad. I was impressed. Fried chicken is a speciality but they hit the mark with the tuna. I loved the salad as well.

Husband had gumbo (excellent and he is from La)-Mac and cheese is the best I have ever had. Portions are large, staff is great-only negative is music is loud so hard to carry on a conversation

Love their food. I have never gone to brunch (mostly the wait lines are outrageous), but hear it's well worth it. Dinner is most often when my friends and I go, we then all get something different and eat of each other's plates. That's the best way to do it! Also get the fried chicken for the win :)

Hard for me to give this place a fair review as things like gravy, grits or chicken for breakfast don't appeal to me, which seem to be this places best dishes. I had the French Toast and a side of roasted potatoes. The french toast was good , it did not have any eggy taste (which I don't like) and... More

Its is little funny finding a great Southern cuisine restaurant in the Pacific Northwest, but this is as good as anything I've been to in the south. The portions are huge, you will not leave here hungry. Be prepared to wait a long time for a table at prime times.

Ok, this frenetic place that is so popular, a little loud and serving excellent food....is a breakfast joy to behold. The breakfast menu has the major, standard popular items but specializes in biscuits (very, very good), eggs, sausage, shrimp, cheddar grits (and std), pimiento sauce.....you get the theme, here? All the dishes I saw and our table were served were... More

My family and I visited Portland for the first time this week. The concierge at hour hotel recommended Screen Door. The location is convenient and the vibe is cool and casual with lots of young folk. There is a wait even on weekdays especially in the summer. The menu is enticing with nice variety. Popular items seem to be the... More
