I have had fondue in too many cities around the world to count, but this was quite lovely. We had a big corner booth and ordered the complete cheese, meat and chocolate and were impressed with every course! Definitely get the garlic sausage with the cheese, it is divine! We had lobster and shrimp and chicken and pork and scallops(the... More

Urban Fondue was an excellent location for our daughter's Sweet 16 birthday dinner! The girls had a wonderful time, amazing food & our waiter, Arturo, was the best! Very attentive, friendly, great at suggestions off the menu & overall a great experience! Thank you!

I want to address a few common complaints I have found in the other reviews. First off, this is not a place to find a value/bargain for your food. If you want a buffet then go to a buffet. If you want a bargain meal, go to a chain restaurant and get endless shrimp or soup/bread sticks. Secondly, at this... More

Three of us tried this for a birthday outing during Portland dining month. I wish we'd opted for another choice. We arrived a little early for our reservation and there was not enough room for all 3 of us to sit to wait. A couple came in after about ten minutes without a reservation. Although they were initially told the... More

I have always enjoyed this restaurant. We visited last night for the Portland Dining Month special. We had a reservation at 6:00 PM and were seated immediately. I will note that if you don't have a reservation, they do not have anywhere to wait so you will be standing outside waiting for a table to open up. Our waiter showed... More

Quaint restaurant, excellent service with the exception of pushing cocktails and wine to the point of being annoying. Portland dining month consisted of 3 courses. 1st course was the best overall. A brie and gorgonzola fondue with bread. Excellent. 2nd course was shrimp, lobster and vegetables in a chicken based broth that really was nothing memorable. They included a variety... More

We decided to give Urban Fondue a try for my daughter's birthday. Having done The Melting Pot previously. We had a reservation. When we arrived (on time), we were told that it would be a 15-20min wait to be seated, even though we had a reservation. We had underage people in our party, and couldn't wait in the bar. So,... Small friendly restaurant. Great if you love fondues of course, which we do. Simple menu , good service. Not the best fondue meal we have ever had but even so this is worth visiting as a casual restaurant and night out.

We went to Urban Fondue with another couple and had a great meal in a cozy, fun setting. The food, drinks & service were all great. If you want to experience something outside the norm, this is it. If you don't mind eating early, you can get a 3-course fondue meal for $26 per person if seated by 6 pm.... More

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Urban Fondue. I made a reservation via Open Table and received a call the day before to confirm the reservation. Our server was patient and explained the menu. We had cheese fondue, but different ones. We tried the Ruby port and brie and gorgonzola. Both tasted good and were filling. We had red wine and... More
