Killed some time here while waiting for my husband to get off work. Was seated promptly. Got the Reuben and a cel-ray soda with a side of slaw. It was so tasty and took no time.

We arrived at 8:30 on a Saturday. Many empty tables, that started to fill. The omelet was massive, with home fries and rye toast. Real butter. Good bacon. Nice. Also had Challah French toast: 3 large slices, with butter and real maple syrup. Decent coffee. Not great, but decent. Friendly, prompt, helpful service. It says NY-style deli. Yeah, sort of.... More
Great food. There can be a long wait. Ive eaten here a few times and every time, i can't help but feel there is a locals side and tourist. Every time we just get crappy service. We are nice, we are polite but we sit down and wait...and wait...and wait. Finally water shows up and we are happy but again... More
The place was large but also crowded when we arrived at 11:30. After a short wait of about 10 minutes, seats opened up at the counter and we took them. We asked if we could sit outside as there were free tables there too, and were told this was... More

For a Jewish style deli, this place just doesn't make it. I really wish it did as there are so few delis in Portland that actually have authentic tastes. I had breakfast here and even the eggs were a disappointment.
Had a classic reuben, which was amazing. My son (1,5) had a hot dog from the kids menu which he completely devoured. Was a good quality dog I guess. Bit pricey but very nice sandwiches if you're into the NY style deli. We had a very nice waitress and staff overall was very friendly. The guy behind the counter even... More
