Went here with a friend when we were both in town for a conference, and we had a great experience. The food was surprisingly good--some places with big beer lists lean too heavily on the drink, and let the food get bar-average. Not Von Ebert--the...More

Great steak chunks, smokey lean tender brisket, amazing truffle aioli fries (and tots), and a nice variety of beer choices. While many trendy pubs have gone all big hops, this place has those types, plus ciders, IPAs, German styles lighter and darker, plus fruited and...More

We stopped here for food and drinks not knowing what to expect and really enjoyed everything we had. The pink guava beer was absolutely delicious and not too sweet for a fruity beer. Really nice IPAs and all of them were pretty unique. The snacks...More

I went here for the german beer. For that I was rather pleased. The hefeweizen was quite nice, as was the dunkelweizen. I did sneak in the recommended IPA which was excellent as well. Unfortunately the food did not live up to our hopes. I...More

We sampled several brews, all very good. The Pineapple Isle sour was a real beauty. Baltic Porter was very close to Baltika 8. “Let Them Drink Kaos” was a quality, hoppy IPA. And the absolute winner was the port whiskey cask barley wine- rich, complex,...More

Similar experience to others: enter a very large venue with no one to greet you at the entrance, and when you find the "hostess" she seemed very disinterested. Sat at the bar, and the bartender(s) also seem disinterested. The beer list is very extensive, but...More

Came here alone on a rainy Friday night. I had never been, and that was a mistake. The place is very big, as is the bar, but the bartenders make you feel at home, and the patrons were easy to talk to. I had several...More

The place is great for drinking and has a fun atmosphere, but I don't recommend it for having lunch or dinner. Food is too "fatty"
