Good sized portion, one of the best Phillys I have ever had. I love a good Philly. BUT, I will say the deal breaker for me is the price! I have a hard time paying more than $10 bucks for a Philly, and fries aren't even included. I spent way too much money for a sandwich and fries, despite how... More

Very good sandwich, and very filling, they had a choice of cheeses for your cheese steak. All so locally made cakes, large selection of cold drink

Stopped by about 7:30 PM looking to grab a Philly to go, saw another couple standing outside looking in. No sign on the door, just appeared closed, though a welcome sign said Open. It is just bad business to close early and not even leave an explanation. Tried to open the door, but was locked and dark inside. Luckily we... More

Had a chicken Philly with the whiz and Wow! It was amazing!!!! I only got a half but should have got a whole. Also come with a small side of house made potato chips. Small place, street parking, great food.

I have been going to the Sandy St. cheese steak shop for years and now I can get the same classic cheese steak in Northwest Portland. Great food and great owners. Parking in the rear to boot! I love the classic with mushrooms and onions. Almost as good as being in the city of brotherly love.

We wanted something truly good, filling & reasonably priced and we weren't disappointed. 😊☺ Greeted as soon as we walked into the small place but it was sincere. Order half unless you are really starving because the homemade chips & strawberry lemonade will easily fill you up. Parking was hard to find so if you're staying at the Silvercloud Inn... More

We just stumbled across this one, actually looking for a quick meal at subways (which closed and no longer there). Its a small place tucked underground. The cheesesteak sandwiches were good but they are pretty pricey. $14 for a full and $7.5 for half sandwich. $5 for a large fries.

My wife had a craving for a Philly cheese steak sub last weekend, so we tried Grant's offering for the first time. It was the best cheese steak sub I've had outside of Philadelphia. It just melted in my mouth. The bread, apparently shipped in from Philadelphia was a perfect match for the fillings. Service was excellent and the prices... More

I lived in Philadelphia for 7 years and had terrific cheesesteak sandwiches at Gino's, Pat's and Jim's. This place has one GREAT cheesesteak sandwich too. This is a new restaurant. The owners have had an east side presence for sometime. I am glad they have arrived on 23rd. I ordered mine with grilled onions and provolone----mmmmm GOOD! The hoagie roll... More
