If you like authentic, thin, NY style pizza this is your place! Best pizza around! We've been to Italy and had amazing pizza there, but this place competes even with that!

I have been here once before a few years ago and it was really good so while out and about shopping today I decided to take my husband here instead of Slice where we usually go because he had never been. The pizza was ok, it threw me a little that the food was handled with out gloves but it... More

Escape From New York Pizza in Portland has been my favorite pizza for thirty years! I don't think they've changed their decor or the newspaper clippings (haha) but that's not what their about. They are about the best pizza, perfected and consistent year after year. My favorite is pictured here; we order half and half. We stop by for a... More

Amid all the fancy shopping on 23rd, it was nice to find a place where you could just relax and have a good piece of pizza. No worries about appearances, prices, or kids feeling stifled in a stuffy upscale establishment. Love that the guy behind the counter rang up my order on an old fashioned push button cash register. Some... More

This was one of the first NY style pizza places in Portland, if not the first. It's owner, a transplant from NYC brought the complete package: great pizza at a good price, a cool little shop, and just the right amount of NY attitude. It has hardly changed in 20-plus years when I lived just a couple of blocks away,... More

We came here because of the online reviews. And the pizza was in fact pretty good. The sauce was delicious, had a little kick to it that I really enjoyed. The service on the other hand was a mixed bag. We needed to make some adjustments to our order, but the man taking our order wouldnt listen. He kept interrupting... More

We were in northwest Portland and needed a really quick lunch. Spotted Escape from NY Pizza and decided to give it a try. You can order a full pizza or buy by the slice. We just wanted a slice. There were 4 different pizzas to choose from. Cheese, Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon & Pineapple and Tomato & Onion. We chose Canadian... More

Came in after a massage since I was craving pizza. Staff greets you once you come in, and you are taken care of right away. Prices are great, and the slices are just like the ones I've tried in new york. They take card or cash but since the prices are good try not to use the card for small... More
