I went to La Caretta for lunch with some friends from work, since we were hungry for Mexican and this restaurant was close to our office. The food was tasty, with huge portions. I asked for extra spicy salsa and they complied. The free ice cream for dessert is a nice plus.

If you happen to be in the area, definitely check it out. Better than average Mexican food in town. Nothing stands out though. Good, but not great!

Food was pretty good. Usually the service is excellent, but this time it was lacking. I didn't want to bother too much about it. We have been coming here for years and plan to again for sure. Definitely getting the fajitas next time!

Just happened to be in this neighborhood (I believe it's called "Brooklyn"), which is an odd mix of residential and light industrial. We needed a place to eat and this was one of the few choices. Standard American style Mexican food, very good and plentiful. Standouts were the sides on the plate - a coleslaw (has a pickled flavor to... More

Went for lunch. Menu is usual Mexican fare. Most meals are priced the same. Food is hot and good when arrived at table. Help are friendly and attentive. Would go again. Margaritas excellent!

Service was a little slow, but there was a large party being served. Better planning could have provided adequate servers. Food was good, but a little different. Have never had potatoes in an enchilada. Seemed they cheaped out using a filler instead of meat. Would not order that plate, again, but would give them another shot, as the flavors were... More

A group of us go here every few months. They have the best ever Happy Hour of any place we have ever been. The food is great, not only for Happy Hour, but if you order off the regular menu as well. The staff is super nice and very willing to accommodate anything you ask of them. We love this... More

I've had better Mexican food for much less money. I enjoyed my meal but it wasn't fabulous. The chips & salsa were pretty good. I was told that the drinks are delicious, but I didn't order one.

Real Mexican is not hot and spicy, but has great flavor. I had an enchilada/tamale plate with beans and rice. There was plenty to take home. I heard 4 waiters serenading someone with a birthday. It is a large restaurant, and nicely decorated. I loved the taste of the food, especially the tamale.

Now that the MAX Orange Line is in operation, I'm finding new places (for me) to eat. While the building isn't particularly attractive, it has been painted nicely, inside and out, with a Mexican theme. The wait staff was efficient and cordial. The food was pretty typical for a family Mexican restaurant. Prices were reasonable. A nice touch was the... More
