A friend I were staying at the Hotel Vintage a short walk away and we were looking for somewhere good for breakfast, Mother's Bistro came highly recommended on Tripadvisor so we gave it a go. The menu is excellent, all the usual American breakfast options plus a few others. I had the Wild Salmon Hash which was very good indeed... More

The mac n cheese du jour is fantastic. Great comfort food! Two outdoor tables for those with pets. A pleasant time with very good food.

Friendly environment, awesome prices, busy because it's worth the wait, family style, great menu. Easy to get to, street parking but not too hard to find. Love their biscuits and gravy!

Mother's is an institution and quite right so. Amazing, buzzing place for brunch on a Saturday morning. Both large rooms are packed with patrons, and people are queuing outside. Once you get a table, please read the menu and espeaiclly M.O.M - Mother Of the Month. Fantatstic way to share recipes and what food is all about: quality and conviviality.... More

We came here on Mother's Day Saturday, arriving early (before 730am). Definitely top5 in Portland for breakfast, because of the atmosphere & food quality & selection. The food is flavorful with a great vibe. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunny morning. Highly recommended, and I recommend arriving early cuz this place is popular nearly every day!

Best brunch place around. Get the salmon hash for sure and their amazing coffee. Get there early because there's a long wait. Luckily, they have coffee available while you wait!

Not sure why the reviews have been so great for this restaurant. Ate dinner here, and honestly I couldn't eat half of my meal. I ordered the vegetarian tofu curry dish. I ate the tofu. However, the vegetables were over cooked, almost mushy. I thought that perhaps the reason why it wasn't nearly as good as what others rated their... More

We had dinner and on another day breakfast at Mothers. Each month a different mother is chosen and her recipes feature on the menu as specials. Such a lovely idea. I was recommended the chopped liver which was good as chopped liver goes and then had the sliders which were all just far too big. Breakfast was good but to... More

Come hungry! The crunchy French toast is divine, and Mother's can cater to gluten intolerance (note intolerance, not allergy, because the grill is the same as for pancakes and other glutinous delights). Nourishing, sweet, and magnificently paired with a creamy cappuccino, this breakfast kick started our day wonderfully. Thank you! Ps. For a little history of how it came to... More

Breakfast was great and tasty with reasonable portion and different choices. a nice place to visit if in the area with pleasant atmosphere but over loaded and you can hardly move... More
