Met friends for a late lunch in Sunday. While the menu was an abbreviated list (it was after 2:00) the food was good. In reality, breakfast is our favorite Mother's meal. Can beat it.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of some confusion around seating and we weren't fans of the cinnamon roll, but otherwise it was amazing! Went for brunch. Good bloody mary, mimosa, and excellent french press coffee. The waitress had good breakfast recommendations, and we loved the breakfast nachos. One order is plenty for 2-3 people as... More

Hubby had the biscuits and gravy and I had the 2 eggs any style. Both were amazingly good and we also ordered tea and coffee and they were both also very good. I would advise on getting reservations or getting there early if you can. The wait for a table can be ridiculous but totally worth it. Price range is... More

We fell in love wth Mothers a few years ago and we are always so pleased with our meal. I was thrilled when 'mother' signed my cookbook. I love how they have a different Mac & Cheese everyday. Be sure to stop by!

Dropped in for lunch after a busy morning sightseeing. The service was super and the setting very relaxed and fun. We did make a poor summer choice in food; we went for the mac and cheese. Seemed like that would be a much better choice in winter and needed a bit more seasoning. At any rate, the savignon blanc was... More

A must every time we are in Portland. The chicken & dumplings are delicious to say the least and are served in a large crock. I dare you to finish it. Mostly white meat with herbed dumplings. We had breakfast there 3 times and dinne twice during our week in Portland. I won't even start on the baked goods and... More

Waited an hour to get in, obviously a very popular place. My son said these were the best waffles he has ever had and everyone had excellent meals. So put it on your list, you will leave happy you took the time.

This is really a cute, romantic restaurant. Larger than it looks. Good service. A great menu with lots of choice for everyone. We had a great lunch, I can suggest the BBQ Pulled Pork, one of the best I ever had. Not too much bbq sauce and very well cooked meat. All others in our group were oositive abiut the... More

Had dinner at Mother's during the week with a party of 6. Had made a reservation and the table was ready upon our arrival. Decor of the restaurant is very interesting, mirrors, chandeliers, very eclectic. Menu offered plenty of down-home choices, including meat loaf, pot roast, chicken fried chicken and more. Some of which can be split into half orders... More

this is a place to have breakfast or brunch. No reservations on the busy weekend, but we didn't mind the 20-30 minute wait catching up with friends. The waffles with fresh berries was really light. good waitress/waiter service.
