Salty's has a great menu and great service. They had no problem fixing me a custom meal not on the menu to meet my special needs. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she got a small cake and everyone at the table was given a champagne or sparkling cider to toast her (at no charge). Can't wait to visit... More

This restaurant was incredible. The food was excellent and our waiter was very helpful; not only with the food but giving us suggestions to add to our vacation experience.

Went for afternoon happy hour. Small plates were fine. Service was excellent. Outside seating was pleasant. Great view.

Wife loves crab so we came for some fresh king crab. She really enjoyed it and I had a NY strip. This is pricey food but some of the best we have ever had. Ate on a clear night so we had a view of the river and mt hood. Really had a good time.

Once the sticker shock wore off we had a nice meal with good service. The food was good quality but the price per quantity ratio was too high. The fish was well prepared but didn't come with any sides. $40 for a piece of fish is a bit much. If price is no object you will enjoy Salty's. I wasn't... More

Not sure what has happened but it seems though the "higher end" restaurants have and are loosing their class. This place is not what it used to be. Sure the atmosphere is beautiful with great views right on the water, but the food has gone down hill. As always, ordered a number of appetizers along with an entree to try... More

We visited for lunch and got there right after they opened. There was no wait, great seat, and quiet. The hubby and I enjoyed the seafood chowder and now know why it is so famous. The fried brussel sprouts were OK, not highly recommended. The open face dungeonous crab was delicious, and the chilled crab salad blt (without the bread... More

Salty's has the perfect combination of great food, attentive servers and a scenic location. Even though we were in Portland for a quick visit, we made sure to visit Salty's twice. Both times were absolutely wonderful experiences. The location is beyond compare as it has an unobstructed view of the Columbia River. We watched boats on the water as well... More

My first time here. The place has a nice venue, right on the river (as you might guess from the name.) Service was prompt and attentive. I had the chowder and the fish and chips. The chowder was good, as was the fish and chips. The quality of the fish was very high. I'd come back.

Great place! Dinner on the deck made for a memorable birthday dinner. Tuna Poke appetizer was delicious as was the cioppino and sockeye salmon entrees. Special thanks to waitress Megan who took extra time to check with the sommelier who then also checked with us to make sure we got the perfect bottle of wine. Dessert menu with plenty of... More
