I sat outside for lunch and it was really nice. They have a great selection of drinks and the crab bisque is amazing. Service is really friendly. I had the wedge salad and the blue cheese had a big taste of mayonnaise but the food is high quality. I would definitely go back.

My mom and I decided to try Jake's for lunch. I'm so glad we did! The building is really cool. We ate the crab bisque, crab cakes, and the horseradish/Parmesan steelhead- very single bite was scrumptious!! The sourdough bread was really good, too. We were too full for dessert, but they looked yummy!!

I love fresh fish but I felt that I had stepped back in time to a menu that was uninspiring and execution that was old and boring. Waiters in white jackets are quaint but it did not improve the service. I felt this was a restaurant coasting on its past that has nothing new or interesting to offer. Sorry for... More

Absolutely the best dinner I have ever had. Salmon, stuffed with dungenous crab, baby shrimp, brie & cream cheese. To die for!

We received a gift certificate for Jakes, what a treat. Decided to use it for happy hour on the weekend. The food is so good. Fresh doesn't do it justice--but it is accurate. Tried the fish tacos-love em, potstickers, the burger-what is there not to like? Next the tempura ahi sushi roll-dynamite, and a shrimp louie. You can't beat the... More

Food and service was excellent. Joe is an outstanding bartender who can multitask like you've never seen. Happy hour is the best way to go here - dinner prices are on the high side but portions are large.

We had been told we really needed to eat here. It turned out to be the best decision ever! The food was incredible! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was like stepping back in time to a New York restaurant at the turn of the century. We had the Crawfish Etoufee and a Horseradish Encrusted Steelhead. Absolutely to die... More

We Midwesterners were looking for seafood, and our local hosts knew just where to take us - Jake's! We enjoyed scrumptious seafood newburg, horseradish steelhead, and crab and scallop stuffed salmon. The ambience was fun, too - dark wood, stained glass, tablecloths, waiters with aprons. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Jake's!

While traveling on business last week a colleague recommended we have dinner at one of Portland's oldest restaurants, Jake's Famous Crawfish. It is 110 years old, great ambiance, friendly and professional service, and the seafood specials (swimming yesterday) were great. Stuffed local Halibut !!! A must the next time you are in Portland and a locals favorite.
