First visit to this restruant great atmosphere, guacamole prepared table side best ever, but my paella was unimpressive: the clams and mussels were so small hardly could taste them, churiso very hard, chicken and shrimp were good the grilled bread on top was the best part...overall a bland dish. May try coming here again and order a different entree.

I went in with high expectations and wondered why such a great restaurant could have a living social offer. It was definitely too good to be true. I understood how our different menu would be, but I thought it would at least have some type of Latin flare added to the menu. We were seated in the back dining room,... More

We were served drinks upon arrival. We finished them promptly and were not asked NOT EVEN ONCE if we would like another. My entree came 20 minutes after my son was served; he had finished before I even received my food. The tab was presented without asking if we wanted any dessert or coffee. My son is a cook, has... I like this place best at Happy Hour. The appetizer selection is very nice. It's a good place to take a group with one person or two who don't like different food. There is always steak and mashed potatoes on the menu. Those who do can try lots of different dishes that lean toward Spanish cuisine.

Oba's is a lovely Latin infused selection of food that never disappoints. My favorite and get every time I go is Yucatan Arepas: Colombian corn cakes, achiote braised pork, cabbage, pickled onion...it is so good hot. The table side fresh made guacamole is delicious with fresh chips. Their cocktail menu is really good too. I generally go for happy hour,... More

OBA's is one of Portland Oregon's fine dining restaurants located in the Pearl District. Dining room is formal. Food is high quality, excellently prepared and the servers do fine job. Some dishes are quite spicy, so inquire if prefer minimum spices.

I don't think it is often the service makes the meal. It did at Oba. Server Chris was knowledgeable without being pretentious, attentive without being over-bearing, personable without being sappy. Well done! As was the food. Paella was a highlight, cooked with flavor and flair.

Excellent dining. We ate here on a Sunday night. Food was absolutely delicious. Started with a cocktail, followed by a wonderful salad. We both had steak, prepared perfectly. This was artfully presented on a plate with mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. We followed this with an after-dinner wine. Quiet, peaceful spot, excellent service.
