I went here for a lunch and found the unique twist on Latin found very delicious and visually appealing as well. Especially the corn cobs on a stick. I forget what they're called, but they were great. Service was ok, no issues there, but nothing to brag about either.

Wonderful margeuitas! Dinner was delicious as were the drinks but what they did with their little banana dessert was amazing (and I'm not even a big banana fan!)!!!

We stopped in at Oba for happy hour and were very pleased with the food, drinks, service! It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying a late summer evening. This is a South American style restaurant, in a slightly quieter section of downtown Portland, so parking was also not hard to find. We ordered what... More

Our family was down from Seattle for the weekend and was staying in the Pearl District. We decided to find a place within walking distance from our hotel for dinner on Saturday night and chose Oba based on Yelp reviews. The dining area was quite open with high ceilings, the only complaint that it did get quite loud even though... More

Good HH, had a few drinks, wish we were hungry, the HH menu looked good. Very good bar service, no crowds, but 5 or 6 tables going.

The Tableside Guacamole is the best I have ever tasted. Homemade chips as well. We also had the Ahi and Peach tartare and it was very good. Blood Orange Margaritas were very good, not too sweet but not too much tequila, just very well balanced. I had the salmon on polenta which was good, not great. Others had the Halibut... More

We dined here this evening- the dining room was rather subdued, but the bar was hopping! The menu is somewhat limited, but everything on it is very good. The corn on the Caesar salad made me want to order only corn! The desserts are wonderful too and the perfect end to the meal. I recommend ordering an appetizer or salad,... More

Excellent all the way around. Terrrific drinks, excellent dining, wonderful service and attention to detail. Not stuffy but very classy place. The ceasar salad is great, fresh salmon out of this world. Real servers, not robots. Every visit a great one at Steve McClain's OBA.

The setting is lovely - great lighting, terrific ambiance, and you can her the people at your table. A lively bar scene. Don't be scared off by the descriptions of food combinations - it all works an tastes great. I don't like guacamole and it was delicious. The cocktails are interesting and delicious. The ceviche was incredibly fresh. The fish... More
