Killer burgers and great breakfast on the weekends. Unfortunately have an amazing amount of staff turnover so it seems like they are always training someone which obviously slows down the process for all of us. I remember going there 10 years ago and the guy...who owns the place talking about all he wanted to do was sell the place and he'd be good to go. Seems he's there all of the time when I am there. Hope it woks out for him, just don't make eye contact or he'll talk you up.More

The food and service was OK but this place will not give you an adequate printed receipt. They offered E-mail or Text but I am not set up that way. What they give looks like an adding machine tape: no establishment name, no date, no...CC info.: just about useless in case there is a dispute. I will not be going back.More

Don't let the outside fool you. Huge burgers, shoe string fries or tater tots, onion rings too. The chili cheese fries are yumm-o! Worth the upgrade with the meal but you can share. Can't wait to go back and try something else, the salads looked...good too. Didn't have room for anything else. To go orders, yes! CheersMore

I was craving a burger and the hubs wanted Mexican. We find Canyon Grill on our app and decide to give it a try. The house-named burger was delicious but SO MESSY. If you don't eat fast, some of the bun will disintegrate on you....The hubs loved his massive burrito and took half home. Nice little find for a casual lunch.More

My husband and I stayed about a block away from Canyon Grill on our last trip to Portland. We lazily walked to breakfast the first morning not expecting much. It's a small spot and only one other couple was there. We ordered omelets and mimosas....The potatoes were delicious. The mushroom & swiss omelet was perfectly put together (not too much cheese, not too much egg). As we left we told the cook, "See you tomorrow." We returned quickly the next morning and joyed a beer and eggs benedict. The hollandaise was lemony and satisfying, not bland like many other places. I'm so glad we stopped in and had the chance to return for more. What a great spot!!!More

I had heard about this place from other people and finally made it over there. The staff was excellent, so friendly, helpful and nice. I would go back just for them, added bonus, the food was fantastic. The burgers we had were great, Grand, Black...and Bleu and the Bacon Cheeseburger. Fries were great, which was surprising as a lot of burger places have not so great fries. The Canyon sauce is great for dipping fries. They have Taco Tuesdays which I am dying to try, sounded awesome and spaghetti Mondays. The place is small but they also serve beer. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is a dump inside, they could use a remodel so there is really no ambiance and not a date night kind of place- more of a grab and go. Service was fast too. I also scored a bit lower for price, $12 dollars for a burger, it is big but felt a bit steep, especially since their rent ought to be cheap!More

It has become a tradition for my husband and me to go here for lunch when we are in the area. The service is superb and the food is simply delicious and in generous portions. The milkshakes are thick and smooth, too. We love this...little gem of a cafe.More

I've driven by this place 100 times and never made the time to stop in. Well the right moment came and I ventured in and was immediately impressed by the friendly greeting and by how cool this place was. The property is a slice of...pie. Intimate. And provides a nice outdoor setting. I pulled up a seat at the bar and had a nice COLD beer and ordered a burger. I got to watch the chef and my eyes were fixed on this table of freshly peeled onions. The table behind me made a comment about the special sauce for the French Fries which I couldn't pass up because it sounded like they knew what they were talking about. The Burger was deserving of an award and really puts any fast food burger joint to shame! The salad was also amazing with the slices of pear. Kicking myself for not making the effort sooner to give the place a try. As a matter of fact I think I'll head back there tomorrow.More

Excellent place to have an excellent no-nonsense burger. We ve chosen the gourmet burger (canyon and black blue) and it was one of the best l ve ever had. Nice seasoned beef on a perfectly roasted bun with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. And we felt...very welcome coming in at 7:45 while the place formally closes at 8 p.m. Great food and great service for reasonable prices. A true winner.More

Best hamburger & chocolate peanut butter milkshake I've been able to find. One of the last few places that gives you the "side car" with your shake :)

This place is a small family run diner that has just a few tables inside, but a heated area on the deck. The burgers are big, juicy, and delicious. People line up for their chili and pork verde as well as their salads. This is...a real find for your palate.More

Our kids leave nearby & are well familiar with Canyon Grill and the staff here....awesome food, from burgers, to brunch (only on weekends); it's tiny but SO SO GOOD and homemade. Great people here too.

We moved to the area about three years ago and Canyon Grill has become a mainstay for those nights where cooking just doesn't seem possible and we want something quick and affordable. The menu is solid diner style items such as salads, burgers, and sandwiches...as well as a few house specials. I've worked my way through most of the menu items but find the Grand Canyon sandwich to be my favorite. My wife prefers the salads or simple burger but we're never disappointed. They also have a small but very good beer selection perfect for having a quick pint while your food is being prepared. Breakfast is served on the weekends and you get huge portions for a great price. All in all we couldn't ask for a better spot to be in our backyard.More

First the good things, the service was good and our waitress was friendly and fairly attentive even though she was the only one on duty and was fairly busy. The menu is large with lots of interesting sounding options that all sounded good. The place...is nothing special as far as the setting, there is seating for about 6 people inside and about 30 outside, both locations which are hot and not air conditioned. There was 4 of us in the group and we all went for burgers, each of us ordered a different one. I had the teriyaki pineapple burger which was so salty I could not eat it I am not sure if it was the teriyaki sauce or the ham or just over salted on the grill. My wife had the mushroom burger and it was really over cooked and tough so she too ate less than half of hers. The daughter had a veggie burger and said it was good. Some of us had fries and some had tots plus we split an order of rings. The fries were not very hot and not the least bit crispy, the tots did not have much brown to them and had a slight old taste, like they had been in the freezer too long. I didn't get any comment from our 4th member but he ate it all so he must have been happier. We didn't like the style of bun they used but that could just be us, but to our thinking it was way too much bread. I doubt that we will return as we have lots of other burger places we like much better. The cost for the 4 of us was just over $60 not counting the tip, which considering the quality seems a bit hight for a hamburger joint that you have to sit outside at picnic tables.More

Great food! I had the Foghorn Leghorn sandwich (chicken, pineapple, canyon sauce). The service is a little slow, but the food makes up for it!
