Truly one of the best brunches I've ever had! I loved the King's breakfast perfectly cooked poached eggs, crisp bacon, French toast and potato cake. Two other family members enjoyed the blackened catfish combo! Caring and attentive setting and a wonderful restaurant inside and out on the patio where we dined. I can easily see why so many people say... More

VQ is one of the two best restaurants I've ever eaten in. Everything is fabulous, and the service is amazingly good. We came here for our wedding anniversary last year, and it was an incredible experience. I'm so sad it is closing and will come to Portland just to eat here before it closes.

Likes this place a lot. Serving brunch but we had a fantastic burger with fresh cut fries and pickled veggies! We had two vegetarians with us and the restaurant totally catered a special meal for them. Great service and beautiful setting!!

Ate here after a few hours at Jazz Fest, and so glad we found it. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes (not bad for a Saturday night), but opted to eat at the bar. Fantastic food. The duck confit spring rolls are fabulous. My husband keeps telling everyone about the bacon wrapped dates. The prosciutto and melon... More

This restaurant is closing soon--city bought the land. Apparently chefs and much of the staff will be heading to a new site, albeit without the glorious patio, and I will follow them when I return to Portland. Our server Sasha was beyond charming and all went well, even with two small children. Food exceptional--Sayonara.

Yummy food, excellent service. Would have liked a closer view to water or outside seating, but, the quaint setting didn't offer that.

THE VQ as out its locally known has served up good food in a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere for many years. It is a great place for an after work cocktail, free from the usual bar games and scene. A great place to relax with friends.

I'm glad that you found a place to hang out and enjoy a great drink in the VQ. There's nothing quite like having a place that feels like your usual spot to grab a drink, is there? Looking forward to having you back again soon. Best, Erin, GM More

This is a Portland landmark that's shutting down soon. The atmosphere is/was great; the food a little sparse & over-priced, but very good. I actually had to order a side dish to fill me up - although that may say more about me than the VQ. Still, sad to see it go.

We're sad to go as well, but I'm glad you had a chance to try us out -- we'll be around through September, so there are still chances to come by again! I hope that you will, because I know that the flavors and the high quality of our dishes can really speak for themselves. The quality of our local... More

The food is great, especially the brunch- enjoy a mimosa! The only issue is it is very small so to guarantee a spot- make a reservation. You can sit outside or in the bar are - again limited seating- if you don't make a reservation.

Thank you for passing along this advice, Sheri! Unfortunately, we do have a smaller space as we're in an historic building, so we do the best we can with what we have. That being said, I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your brunch with us. Perhaps we'll see you for another mimosa and some tasty food again soon! Stay well,... More

VQ has always been a fun place to eat, drink and be merry. Food is decent but the atmosphere is what makes it. Laid back, cold drinks and a nice place to hang out outside.
