What a surprise to find this "off NW 23rd" restaurant with the healthiest breakfast and most decadent banana bread I've found in Portland! Almost like going to Grandma's house (you think) as you climb the front steps and cross the porch - but, wait!! Step inside to an art gallery, coffee bar, pastry shop ... complete with a wide choice... More

New owners since Sept. '15. And they brought Anna's back. Great food, great coffees and drinks, great service. At a cost thats not going to break the bank. " Come on in and set a spell" as the line in the menu states. The ambience is relaxed and comfortable. Music depends on the barista.. From light reggae to classical to... More

I often send an order for a Macchiato back at coffee shops as many don't make it well. Jamie made it so well I ordered two. Really good barista, great coffee beans, everyone really friendly. Wonderful atmosphere and many regulers who keep coming back. Says a lot. Going back today for their tomato soup c basil. Ken

Had a cup of joe one morning. Friendly barista. Got a great sense of what it was like to live in the area. Coffee was good. Food choices, ie pastries were a little lacking.

What else can I say, they make great coffee and are pleasant to talk with - no attitude here! The furniture is eclectic and comfy; like sitting in your own living room. If ever in Portland again. I will stop in at Anna Bananas.

We stayed at the Inn at Northup station and walked over for something to eat. A cute tiny neighborhood coffee shop that made excellent lattes and my sandwich was delish! I did think it was a bit cluttered and dirty, but overall great service and coffee.

A neat little coffee shop on the corner of 21st and Alberta.....but the breakfast was a disappointment. I had the Green Eggs and Ham and it arrived like a small lump of concrete....couldn't eat it....sorry. The place seems to be a favorite hang out of the locals though so maybe I'm not seeing it in its best light. My wife's... More

We stopped by here for breakfast whilst staying in the neighbourhood and returned 3 mornings in a row for breakfast. We enjoyed the cosy setting, the service was personable and friendly. I tried the veggie hand pie which was a delight! They had a really nice range of options on the menu and it is certainly a standout for a... More
