It was years since we went to Montage, and it's still a winner. We came for my wife's birthday with a pretty large family party. Seated quickly at 5pm Saturday. We had frogs' legs and hushpuppies, oyster and mussel shooters to start. I had their...More

Portland is chock full of great restaurants but Montage stands alone for perfecting the fine art of Creole and Cajun cuisine. The shrimp etoufee is about as intense a flavor as I have ever tasted in Bayou cooking. And don't miss the ooh la la...More

I have been taking friends and family for over 20 years. The food is great, Cajun, the tables are set up beautifuly and you get to share them with complete strangers. Order oysters or gator bits and the kitchen yells your order back to you....More

Very good food. I had the baked Cajun chicken and it didn't disappoint. Everybody else had the mac and cheese and they loved it. There is different types of flavors of mac and cheese and portions are big. Of course had to have dessert and...More

No reservations & communal seating, makes eating at the Montage an experience. Dishes have a Cajun slant, but there's something on the menu for everyone. I had the Cheddar Mac & Cheese this time and added bacon...great choice.

Loved this place. Seating is at long tables so you get to meet all sorts of people, which I liked. Very mixed menu, with items for the adventurous and more conservative diner alike. Service was excellent and the place is obviously popular as it was...More

It took about 30 minutes on a Saturday night around 19:00 without a reservation to be seated. The tables are set up so you are sitting with strangers. The food was good Cajun. Our service was fairly prompt. Dessert was excellent. Your leftovers are wrapped...More

I found the Montage while looking for late night places that weren't Denny's (no dis-respect to Denny's) while going to college back in '93 and couldn't believe what i had found. The coffee was incredible the yelling across the place for shooters, the fireballs jumping...More

I do not remember it being hot. It is an older building and I think I remember fans in the bar.

The vision of Jon Beckel, Le Bistro Montage's founder, was to have a place where everyone could enjoy themselves and have a great meal. He hit the mark with Le Bistro Montage. Founded in 1992 in a converted taco stand, it soon moved to it's present location at 301 SE Morrison. On a shoestring budget, Jon and staff created a one of a kind place where, when you step in the door, you're not quite sure where you are. Its quirky decor, including huge paintings, a poster pulled off the Berlin Wall, decadent fresh flowers, tin cans pounded into the floor, and long, linen-covered tables, Creates an atmosphere that draws all types and guarantees a great time.
