We are semi regular guests and are always satisfied, but this time the food was better than ever. We had Sake Nigiri and crab rolls. The food was so fresh and tasted delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit. The restaurant had been renovated and is now called Koji Osaka ya.

Loved this place. I have searched a long time for good oyako donbori that tasted like the restaurants in Japan... this is the best I have had yet! Their sushi is fresh and of excellent quality and taste. Pricing was very good as well. Two for an early lite dinner cost less than $40. We will be going back again... More

We had dinner here with friends last weekend. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I had tempura donburi, quite good and reasonably priced. Six of us were able to enjoy good conversation, which is uncommon these days given the noise level most places. Not fine dining, but a good spot for a casual meal. Parking lot makes things easy.

I have been coming here for 30 years (I'm 52 and my first visit was when I was 19-20). The name was changed for a few years to Osaka-ya and is now back to it's original name Kojis Osaka-ya (the original owner). The quality of the Sushi is always good and consistent. A few years ago they added a nice... More

The atmosphere inside was very cute and reminded me of a restaurant in Japan. The food was good. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed our meal.

I have had sushi all over the world and dining at Osakaya is like dining at home! We sit at the Sushi bar and when I say "we" I am saying the children... More

This is another John's Landing neighborhood restaurant. It's close to downtown Portland, Sellwood and Hillsdale. I enjoy getting takeout.. Their Salmon is always very good! I usually get a Donburie to go. If you stay , you can watch the sushi makers or a sumi match on there big screen. You can also buy a lunch and walk across the... More

The sushi is fresh and the donburi is great. They have wonderful specials. I only wish they would update the decor.
