Dinner in the main dining area is superb, however I prefer eating in the bar, the steak bights, onion rings and calamari are a perfect meal especially when paired with one of the best Martini's in the city

Visited during a recent stay in the Portland area. The food was excellent if a little pricey. Steak was well cooked to my requirements however like the majority of US restaurants there seems to be a lack of vegetables offered. The service was excellent. Nice to see waiters in tuxedos. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable about the menu... More

Visiting Portland from the East coast and came here for a birthday dinner. Service was excellent and so was our meal. Highly recomment the heirloom tomato salad to start - it is large enough that it can be shared. I had the wild salmon and I have to say it was the best salmon I have had in a very... More

This was our second visit and we were completely satisfied with everything. We brought our daughter because she requested a good steak dinner for her 12th birthday and they treated her like a princess. She was told "Happy Birthday" several times before we were even at our table. She was treated to sparkling apple cider, onion rings, some chocolate covered... More

Old club ambience. Many rooms starting with w dark cozy bar. beef is the thing. Wait that's after the onion ring loaf to share. Many cuts grilled to you choic. Very good service. Good date night or for impressive business meeting.

As they advertise in airline magazines they are one of the 10 great independent steakhouses in the United States. their locations on 23rd-the classic-and their temporary turned permanent Fishhouse at Fox Tower or the best choices. The steaks are sublime, cooked from almost blue to my anti-social medium well. It's not inexpensive and the traditional adding of side dishes can... More

We ate here again for the first time since the early '80s. The place had not changed much. The service, menu and wine selection were all excellent. The food, if not quite perfect, was still very good. The prices are a little high compared to the overall experience, but the place is an institution and the occasional visit is well... More

Every city has a least one fantastic steakhouse: in Portland it's The Ringside. The moment you walk in you know something special is going to happen. It's darkly lit, but with lots of candles - an interesting & eclectic decor. I've been coming here for a few years when I visit family: it underwent a renovation I think maybe 2... More

Good steakhouse with somber lighting (too dark for my taste). Good wine selection and knowledgable somelier. Overall good service and great meat served though nothing extra-ordinary. My steak was good and everybody from my group was happy. Very good selection of side-dishes.
