Just kissed breakfast menu. Which bummed us. Lunch sandwich was good. Prices are decent. Wide variety of patrons and decor lends to the quirky atmosphere. The cafe itself is old and has not been to remodeled or updated which is kind of cool

Okay hipsters and whatnot, this is where you want to go. My boyfriend has been here years ago, and raved about the sausage gravy. I must say, he was RIGHT. Wow! It is phenomenal! We both got the basic breakfast (eggs, hash, and your choice of meat, with toast) with pork sausage. We got a side of gravy, and I'm... More

We came here 2 years ago and we loved it! Of course we needed to try it again this time! My husband tried the pumpkin pancakes with blue cheese butter that were great and I tried the blue corn pancakes and they were awesome!!!

Visited this diner based on all of the rave reviews, and waited over 45 mintues (something i seldom ever do), but it was worth it! Loved the old fashioned traveling diner ambience inside, friendly waitstaff and the food was about as perfect a breakfast i could hope for. Nothing fancy, just great taste! They have several "scrambles" that are laden... More

Had breakfast at the Byways Cafe while in Portland on a Sunday. We arrived at 8:30am just a short wait for a table. Delicious OJ Freshly squeezed (although not squeezed on site), coffee also good. Two of us ordered the 3 Day Weekend which included one biscuit / gravy which was awesome! Don't know how anyone could finish the 2... More

Had to wait 40 minutes, but the sign of people waiting is usually a good indicator of somethings good inside. Yes it was. All very good and willing to go back.

It pains me greatly to say that I could not finish this mammoth portion. Great biscuits, great sausage makes great biscuits and gravy. Classic Portland.

My bias: we are a mostly vegetarian family of four (omnivore dad, vegan mom, vegetarian 12 year-old, special Sensory diet ten year-old in a wheelchair). We had walked over from our hotel to the *fantastic* Ace Hardware (seriously, best ever) and then I pulled up "breakfast near me" on my phone. How lucky were we this place popped up! It's... More

My husband and I were craving a traditional East Coast type breakfast. We found this place on Trip Advisor, and after reading the menu online, decided to visit. The set up is typical to a diner, with lots of tables close to one another. The waitresses were all dressed in their own outfits, but definitely in an old-fashioned diner style... More

We walked by this restaurant around noon and thought let's give it a try!! Glad we did!! We had a fried egg sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was delish and plentiful. It was offered with house made potato salad which was to die for!! The place was pretty full and the wait staff very attentive to... More
