My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here. Old time diner feel, with slightly slow service but very nice waiters. Amazing food: I got a pesto omelet with hash browns and a scone. The scone was especially delicious. Great spot for a slow breakfast!

Quick summary: Average food, painfully slow, dull service. Details: Stopped by the big bright sign inside the door that says "Please Wait to be Seated" The place was nearly empty on a Monday morning but I waited and waited and waited until a server glances up and says "oh, just sit anywhere." Walked past several empty-but-dirty tables to find a... More

Very Mom and Pop. The servers are always pleasant but not too interested in what they're doing. Most may be just biding their time until something else comes up. There is one who I'm always happy to see, efficient. However, the blueberry pancakes and veggie omelet and over-cooked bacon are yummy. They're also in my neighborhood and I go there fairly... More

This is a regular stop for me on my twice yearly visits to Portland. They offer a good variety of foods and everyone in our party including the children are able to find something great to eat. We always visit during breakfast. My favorite is Huevos Rancheros which are the best that I have ever eaten(I love the addition of... More

My favorite place to go for a gluten-free breakfast. The cafe is small and usually really busy, especially on weekends, but the staff is friendly and the food is great. Their menu clearly labels which items are gluten-free and gives you a variety of choices including the traditional eggs and bacon, omelets, scrambles, and pancakes.

Lunch and dinner food is same as most places but the breakfasts (all day) are the best! Extremely busy on the weekends and expect to wait for quite awhile for a table but worth the wait.

I really like their mochas and biscuits and gravy. Ordered with a side of potatos, there is enough for hubby and I to both share and still have left overs.

The food is very good and make sure you get a side of their potatoes. It has just the right touch of Portland weirdness and Portland's quality of food.

My wife and I went to the 3556 SE Hawthorne location. It exemplifies the best of Portland --- warm and friendly setting, very good ingredients, bright and courteous service, excellent coffee, fair pricing. Large enough a place so you linger without others waiting to take your table, cozy enough to be pleasant and inviting. On our short list of breakfast... More
