My eggs Benedict had REAL Hollandaise. (Which I had to work off in three days at the gym) It was delicious. Their breakfasts are awesome.

I have been eating at this cafe for over a decade and through the years it has always been a favorite of mine for breakfast. The food was good, service was good - I could get gluten-free pancakes, but the last three visits have seen a marked decline. We ate there on Monday and the cafe was dirty. The windows... More

If this restaurant was in a more arrogant city I would have given it a "poor" rating, but I don't want to be mean. The bacon on the BLT was so overcooked it had the consistency and flavor of salted bisque ware. The "L" and "T" were minimal, and no mayo, making the sandwich an exercise in dry chewing and... More

Lunch for three of us was pretty good overall. The food was very tasty -- BLT with avocado, garden scramble, and breakfast burrito. Our waitress, Allison, was very efficient but she wasn't very friendly. The decor definitely needs to be spruced up. The walls are painted in dreary colors, and the upholstery in some of the booths is patched up... More

This is a small cafe, tables a bit crowded together, with a friendly, attentive staff. My husband had a black bean and rice bowl with chips and salsa; I had the quiche of the day (turkey and mushroom) with small side salad. He said the rice bowl dish was good but lacked much flavor (so added his salsa). The tortilla... More

A buddy and I meet here regularly for and 8am breakfast. Great time slot since most of Hawthorne's citizens are asleep. The owner always greets us with a smile and serves us too. We get a coffee pot to use on our own. The scramble and a side of bacon are my go to's. Always good. I highly recommend this... More

Short visit here, only house coffee and dirty chai to go. I have to say that both were not stellar. In fact, we would probably not go back here again. So much competition on Hawthorne Street.

I really enjoyed their veggie scramble. The only issue was when my mom and I asked for our toast to be buttered before it got to our table (and was cold) the waitress said they could not do that. It seemed like a basic thing but I guess not at this restaurant. We got a packet of cold butter placed... More

me and my family were visiting my sister in the Hawthorne neighborhood and we came here to have breakfast/lunch. it wasn't very busy and we were helped right away. After we ordered, more customers kept coming in. it turns out the people who came in after us kept getting their food before my family did. we waited maybe 20 minutes... More

My daughter and I were looking for a place to have breakfast when we decided on Cup and Saucer Café. The pancakes were as big as the plate, and the omelet was fantastic. We kept remarking at how delicious everything was ........Plus superb and friendly service. Didn't eat anything else there, but for breakfast I would highly recommend!

Thank Paul S
