Wanted chineses food in walking distance. Food was very fresh and good value. Pot stickers actually too much filling in them almost like a meatball, prefer less, i know that sounds odd. Service was good and nice decor. Would go again

My 19 yr old son and i loved it here. The atmosphere and music are lovely. Great service! Ordered the general tsos chicken with white rice and he had fried rice with shrimp, beef and chicken. I also had a drink called the ginger cure. It was a good drink..if you like ginger:) We would definitely go back. It is in... More

I get take away about once every other month or so. The veggie fried rice and General Tso's chicken are always great. Love the fresh veggies, including broccoli and peas in the rice. I have eaten in also and the space and people are very welcoming. Good location.

I stopped in for lunch and was seated immediately. I didn't find anything it wanted on the lunch menu so I was brought a dinner menu. My green beans were well cooked and had good flavor. A variety of meat and vegetarian options. They will also accommodate gluten feeet and vegan.

Great sustainable Chinese food. Haven't found anywhere else in the Portland that's come close. We will be back for more.

If it wasn't for Giorgio's in Portland's Pearl District having already claimed for all time the title, I would declare this restaurant to be the purveyor of the Worst Restaurant Meal I have EVER been served. This place is only the second worst. The room is lovely, but that is all the kindness I can muster. We had the duck,... More

If anyone say that's this is not Chinese food, I say if it tastes good it's Chinese. There s something called creative Chefs. If you want chicken feet and steamed frog, yes you are in the wrong place. Chinese or foreign chefs In America are innovative since there s s lot of competition. I go here all the time, I... More

This is a delightful Chinese restaurant which serves fresh, local ingredients. We decided to try Seres on Christmas Day because they were located close to our hotel and because they offer many gluten free options. My wife requires GF food for health reasons so we were very pleased when the manager took particular care in placing our order and supervising... More

The dishes here are so consistently, well, yum. And it will please everyone from classic sweet-and-sour pork lovers to vegetarians. The sesame chicken is sweet, spicy, and addictive. But this is Portland. So the ingredients are fresh, local, sustainable. And there are many gluten-free options. The dining room is clean and simple, a higher-end atmosphere. But again, it's Portland. Jeans... More

We did takeout since it was close to our hotel. The food was ready quickly and was the right temperature. Food was fresh and tasty and prepared well. Perhaps a little pricey. Rice was extra and there were no fortune cookies (I don't eat them anyway). I did not care for the fresh rolls - better at a Thai restaurant.... More

Seres Restaurant, formally Sungari Pearl is located in the Pearl District and has been serving the greater Portland area since 2003. Seres Restaurant features a modern Chinese menu with emphasis on purity. In addition to using organic produce whenever possible, Seres' dishes feature local ingredients such as Oregon's Painted Hills Natural Beef, local produce and beancurd from Portland's own OTA Tofu Company. No MSG or artificial additives are added to our dishes.
Essentially, you will still find every traditional long-loved Chinese food like fried rice, potstickers or Kung Pao chicken at Seres, however with a lightness and purity that are not only delicious but important.
